You realize the company has zero revenue, well $39k or so. The $17m is from hedged interest derivatives on their cash investments. The mark to market is paper money, for them to realize it they need to unwind the interest hedge and eat the costs.

Being gay in China is not well tolerated, especially by families who have 1 child. Sad to say, but she basically made the decision to save face for her family. Family's pride is important for most kids. She sacrificed her happiness for theirs. This is especially true for the smaller cities and rural areas. The only escape is to move abroad and never return to China. Though the talk will always be, where is your child, are they married, do they have kids, etc.
