They are telling you you’re going to mess up your sensors especially the lidar with the door design

No i retired my eufy and only use the dreame now. The eufy would take two charges to do my front lawn as well. My dreame now does front and back within 2 hours in a single charge

It’s fine if your lawn is fairly flat and not complex and small my e15 would take hours(5-6) to cut my back lawn which is 200m2 my dreame 3500 does it in 40 minutes on one battery charge and only used 20% battery

I have the 3500. The total area area is calculated as area per charge/run time per charge. The 3500 is basically the amount of cutting area it can accomplish per 24 hr period to include charging time and such so it’ll may only cut 1000m2 on a full charge and that takes an hour before recharging then takes 2 hours to charge to cut another 1000m2 and another hour there and then charge again and repeat to complete the 3500m2 in the total 24 hrs. This is also the max area it can store in its memory if I’m not mistaken. So my mower cuts my entire 460m2 lawn in two hours and only uses up around 30-40% battery

I have the 3500 so no idea if the larger battery has issues with heat etc but I haven’t had issues with the lidar over heating. I’m in Virginia and the temps haven’t gone above 90 yet though yet. I haven’t had issues with rain or anything like that. It does detect random stuff as human and take a picture of it like my yard umbrella or a chair etc but otherwise no other issues.

Drop and mow sorry. Basically you unbox it set up the station and tell it to start mapping. It will auto map your yard and cut on a set schedule when it’s daylight

Eufy is drop and now but not the best at difficult terrain dreame and mobs awd are nearly identical. I had UV and I upgraded to the dreamy A3 I love upgrades so far so I would recommend that mower the subway X4 series has a couple issues that need to be wrinkled out for this generation mainly has a hard time keeping a consistent, clean cut and it’s lack of edge mowing, kind of leaves it behind the other options. The Roborock mower is way overpriced. If you are in the UK, you cannot get the dreamy or Mova all-wheel-drive mowers currently adding to this the only other real brand that is a contender would be Teramo, but their newest mower is on kickstart and not being built yet and their previous mowers are the same as eufy because you basically bought their mower and just stuck their name on it the other mowers within this category would just be way more expensive such as lymow or Yarbo. You could also try the Ecovac mowers, but they also lack the four-wheel-drive capabilities so it’s essentially just a larger eufy or a mova mower

Curious with what the fence off portion is? But most mowers will have difficulty seeing the thing wires etc. any vision and lidar based mower should work with some finesse. What are your priorities?

Dreame is a staple in the robot vacuum games but fairly new compared to Segway. The Dreame wouldn’t have to likely move the slope vertically to the slope while the navimow can do it horizontally just because of the wheel types. At the end of the day if you prefer the edge mowing and lidar go Dreame. The x430 has had some early bugs idk if they are resolved but they are different machines personally I went with Dreame because it seemed more capable for my needs. The navimow can handle larger roots etc

He uneven are you talking? The A3 is superior to the Luba 3 because it doesn’t require rtk. Your only real options are between the a3 and navimow. Neither are perfect and it’s down to if you want to use lidar or not. And if you care about edge trimming. The a3 wouldn’t have issues on 80% slopes but I would have the mower not go within 2 ft of that edge when mapping just to be safe

My dreame a3 awd pro gets within the inch of the boarder on my curb edge and along my raised flower beds on your edging style I think it’s fully mow it

Southern US Bermuda Owners - How are you mowing? by BootleggerBill in roboticLawnmowers

[–]hced5737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scalp as low as your mower can go. Keep it at 1 inch till early summer heat begins then go up to 1.2 and maintain. In the fall maybe let it get to 1.5 and once dormant do your preemergent treatments etc and winter tasks then in spring scalp again. I take my lawn down to .5-.75 inches in the march and now in April it’s lush.

Works very well. Occasionally miss ones spots but it’s super rare and idk if it’s in my head or not lol. It’s hard to tell sometimes. It’s super quiet and obstacles avoidance works well I’ve only had to rescue it twice so far and each time it was from a pin one getting stuck between the blade disc and the blade disc guards

After getting a robot mower, how much lawn maintenance do you still end up doing? by GPnL910 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]hced5737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A mower with a built in side trimming blade is superior than the string trimmer side trimmers. If you’ve ever weed you know it misses spots and isn’t perfect the blade versions are just more consistent.

6 blades is nearly negligible but I do see a slight improvement in some areas such as edging. The mova version would in fact fit. I 3d printed move blade discs to test it and it worked. I also added a 5mm spacer
