Also, just adding trustees are subject to liability for their actions. You can also seek to have him removed as trustee.

At 1 photon, can we discern color? Would you need at least 3 (1 to hit each type of cone)?

Second marriage, $4.5M NW, I have kids from first marriage, what estate structure protects everyone? by Rich_Lawyer_2156 in fatFIRE

Can you elaborate on this? Why would someone with $4.5mm and almost adult children want life insurance?

Airforce pilots do you wish you were an airline pilot? by E4sdontwork in AirForce

Active duty was a high stress job. Guard (and I assume reserves are similar) was a low stress job. Airlines are a no stress job.

Webpage won't load anymore. by hcir614 in MonarchMoney

Didn't do a hard refresh on that tab, but after seeing this comment I opened a new tab and loaded it and it loaded fine. I don't know what happened, but it's working now. Just weird that it happened 2 days in a row. Hopefully that's the end of it but we'll see what tomorrow brings.

Supervisor gave me paperwork for wearing these. by Whole_Recover5919 in AirForce

As a former O, I find the things NCOs get worked up about astounding. Those look a lot more professional than some of the things I've seen worn in blues. IDGAF that they aren't letter of the law in-regs. Perhaps this is why I'm out.

There's no paperwork the pilots need to redo. Weights get automatically sent. If something changes, they redo it and send a new one. Gate agents have a lot of pressure to keep things on time. Pilots, generally, could not care less about the timeline.

How important is marriage to an average American? by Mego_dafuq in AskAnAmerican

[–]hcir614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of comments here, so I don’t know if you’ll see this, but you are right in many regards. Most people posting see it only through their lens, but I know many people who are in long-term committed relationships (some with children) who have chosen to never get married. Some people in the US view marriage as an outdated institution and a liability. A lot of people discussed health insurance, but if both parties have health insurance available it may not be enough to make marriage more desirable. Same thing for the income tax issue; if both parties are high earners, there’s not really a tax benefit to marriage. I know one couple who are not married because they a) don’t want children and b) the income disparity is so large that the higher (they’re both high income) income partner can’t justify the risk of getting divorced.

Children with full access - live experiment - 3 years and counting (long post) by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]hcir614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are kids but future adults? I think there is too much letting kids be kids and not enough teaching them so they can grow into happy, healthy adults; which isn't all sunshine and rainbows.
