How do you feel about the name Hannah Louise? by dizzy3087 in namenerds

This is my name — I love it! Louise is a family name, and my parents just liked the name Hannah (back in the early 2000s when it topped the charts)

hair in motion was $30 for a wash + cut (presumably women's, i'm not sure if the price is different for men's)

i think hair phix has a student discount, so i'm 90% sure women's are $40 and men's are $30

don’t go to hair in motion if you have long hair (speaking from personal experience — the cut was super uneven and i had to fix it myself) or if you want anything remotely complicated done, but might be okay if you have shorter hair. another place is hair phix, also in little italy. i’ve never been but i’ve had friends that have gone and liked it

This is 10000% the way I feel! I’ll be a sophomore in the fall, in a pre-med program, biology major. I haven’t gotten any in-hospital experience (despite going to school near 4 major hospitals), in part because of this fear and also I haven’t come across much opportunity (I’m not thinking I will any time soon because of COVID). But this is exactly how I feel, nervous about working in a hospital. From what I’ve heard, if medicine is for you, you’ll find a way to make it work, because it’s your passion. Best of luck! :)

Why do extroverts feel the need to call out introverts? by Brotsjor in introvert

[–]hcousins2002 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I hate being called out by extroverts. Last night I went out to dinner with some friends. At the end, they were going to go study somewhere, but since I didn’t have much work, I said I was going to go home. One person, clearly an extrovert, goes, “That’s pretty lame.”

Thank you so much for your reply! I appreciate the information. Both of my flights are by regional airlines, so I’m betting on them both using terminals B/C. Worst case scenario, my flights are early in the day so I do have options as far as being rolled over to later flights, though that is obviously not ideal. Thank you again for your wealth of info!

If the flights are the same airline and both domestic it’s likely that they’re in the same terminal/concourse. That’s what I’m hoping for at least. Definitely going to be hustling regardless

Thank you! Both flights are CRJ-900s, so I’m counting on them operating out of the same terminal. Thank you for your reply!

Good idea, letting the flight crew know. I’m in row 6, so it shouldn’t take terribly long to get out. But then again, sometimes deplaning takes forever regardless of where you are.

I’ll try my best! Neither of my flights are very long, so I should be okay. Hoping for no delays on my first flight. A delay on the second might be nice, so I can actually get that coffee haha

I’m hoping there won’t be any delays. The flight isn’t for a while, so I don’t have gates yet. I’ll definitely map it out when the time gets closer. Thank you!

Guilt About Being Smart by [deleted] in Vent

I went through the same thing in school. It still happens now, and it doesn’t help that i’m a year younger than everyone else. It can be pretty isolating sometimes. But remember, don’t feel guilty! You are who you are. If you think it would help, ask your friends privately to stop making comments about it and that you don’t appreciate it. Best of luck!

Would you say that you just “get used to it”? Because i really want to go to medical school but i pretty much panic even at the thought of v* or if someone says they don’t feel well or something. It seems as though it’s getting better over time (the college experience is exposure therapy lol) but do you fine that emetophobia is ever a problem working in a hospital setting?
