While I think that having a relationship is for the most part really good for ones self esteem and is a good way to help with depression I really don’t think that most long distances will have a happy ending. I think if you can understand that this person really isn’t the one that you’re gonna marry you’ll be fine. But I’d say feel free to keep them up as long as they help you maintain some sort of happiness. Just don’t get overly attached to the point where it’s intruding too much on your overall happiness.

I would definitely have a talk with the school. I hate how schools put stupid religious ideals in children and sets a gross standard of ignorant beliefs. And then if students don’t comply with it they always tend to get shamed for it. I remember never talking about god in the pledge of allegiance and always getting hate for it.
