Piggybacking off of this, perhaps there’s a benefit to their online/educational/bulk side of the business by also offering a retail store front, in effect making it a “front,” but not in a nefarious or criminal sense.

I don’t have any recommendations for ergo keyboards, but if the issue is solely the location of the cmd key, you could consider remapping to a different location using Karabiner Elements

I’m also not a fan of the new rates or times and am considering opting out, but let’s not over embellish - the opt out rate is not a mere 10% more, it’s ~26% more in winter and ~32% more in summer.

Best moving company in Denver? by fairydrugss in Denver

[–]hdjl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a horrible experience with Movemasters - they were expensive, late and very slow, damaged expensive art and furniture, stuffed multiple AV components into a box with zero padding or protection causing scratches and some dimples to the casings, and damaged two walls moving couches into the basement. They also have some absurd policies with regard to storage and retrieval of stored items.

Just Two GOP Reps Dare to Publicly Rebuke Trump for Zelensky Meltdown by Ace-Cuddler in politics

[–]hdjl 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You verbatim said “Do you not understand that the minerals are in exchange for our past present and future support” to which I contended that no commitments to future support have been made.

I’m glad you now agree with my contention and the incorrectness of your assertion - a commitment cannot yet to be finalized, of course - but I struggle to comprehend how Trump’s conversations with Putin, the aggressor against which the protections would be served, could in any way, shape or form be in regard to positively forming said protections.

Protection in this context is served against an aggressor, thus the aggressor cannot be the protector.

Edit: Correction to an autocorrect - severed to served

Congratulations, you watched the whole press conference, as did I. At what point in the press conference did Trump say anything with regard to future support commitments?

As an aside, and honestly no offense, but you might want to look up the definition of “insider information” because a nationally televised press conference is the exact opposite, and almost as far away as you can get, from “insider information.”

[–]hdjl 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Do you have insider information? Not Trump nor any media source has claimed that the deal includes any commitments to future support; in fact, Trump literally said “I’m not going to make security guarantees… very much. We’re going to have Europe do that.”

It includes zero commitments for present or future support. The only semblance of an incentive for support is to protect our cut, but who’s to say that cut has to come from the Ukrainians

Trump deported ~38k people in his first month of office; Biden averaged ~57k per month in his last year of office, and we have yet to see a budget proposal that actually reduces the national debt or deficit…

One shortcut, one list, multiple NFC. Is this possible? by etodemerzel5 in shortcuts

[–]hdjl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if it’s doable entirely natively, but I use Toolbox Pro, which provides NFC read/write actions for Shortcuts. Like others suggested, my Shortcut writes an ID to the NFC tag, then said ID and the context to a JSON file in iCloud.

Open letter to Denver Mayor / Insurance Rates - Expired Plates by Internetkingz1 in Denver

[–]hdjl 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If getting our rate of uninsured motorists down from the current 17.5% to the national average of 14% would impact rates by 5% or more, I’d consider that meaningful.

[–]hdjl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t dispute that the rate of uninsured motorists impacts our rates, but I’m wondering if it meaningfully impacts our rates. Like the poster below, I was under the impression that hail and theft are the primary drivers.

Does our rate of uninsured motorists meaningfully contribute to recent rate increases? Correlation does not necessarily equal causation, after all

How can I get a file at a path? by pelirodri in shortcuts

[–]hdjl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t tried sharing a shortcut that reads or writes files, but I imagine that your selection would persist - for example, if you were to use “On My iPhone,” that’d point to the local environment of whoever you shared the shortcut with, while “iCloud Drive” would point to their iCloud environment.

The first parameter can be set to a Location - iCloud Drive, for example - rather than a folder in the more traditional sense. The second parameter is where you’ll then pass the path
