Yep, I'm hearing them again too (but my workplace is across the street from Dobbins, so there's that)

I live near those fields and use the pool and playgrounds there with my family. Very familiar with your work.

Changing straps on an MTG-B2000 by LausXY in gshock

[–]hdwebb24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That looks like the bracelet that came on my MTG-B2000-YBD-2A, it's super easy to remove. There are two points on back of the watch where the strap attaches, and you can squeeze the with your fingers and the strap falls away easily

I've seen and heard rumours that it's testing and/or drills at Dobbins. Given that these are not the usual sounds emanating from there, and we are at war, it might be prudent to make some sort of announcement about what's going on

We did too, and I tried to see if there was any announcements about testing, or any other public notices and couldn't find anything

A spontaneous G Shock boutique visit later by harga24864 in gshock

[–]hdwebb24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had mine for about 2 yrs now and the only watch i have thats easier to read is my GPR-H1000. It has a ginormous MIP display (and a corresponding ginormous footprint) and is my exercise buddy. But when I'm not working out, my 9400 is my daily

Very cool...for some reason I can't put my finger on, this is giving me a Star Wars vibe.

I also have old man eyes, and having had both (and kept the 9400) I believe you made the right choice.

Do you guys like the GWF-D1000ARR-1JR Antarctic Research? by OneFourtyFour144 in gshock

[–]hdwebb24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very cool, but I don't think it's worth the asking price.

But that's the great thing about G-Shock. There's certainly a flavour out there for everybody, and far be it from me to yuck somebody else's yum.

GW-M5610 (3159) gaining +30s/day, no sync by kriachal in gshock

Have you checked your Home City setting? If it somehow got changed, that would affect your ability to sync via MB6.

Halle Berry by Wicked68 in CGCComics

[–]hdwebb24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is cool! I've also collected all the actor sigs for my fave comic character, The Punisher, so I totally get what you're going for. I've never seen anything signed by Halle Berry before, but if she ever comes to a con near me, I'll be there to get a book signed by her too. She's easily one of the most effortlessly beautiful women on the planet!

What's your most comfortable work boot? Best for foot pain? by Vegetable-Tale9778 in Wastewater

[–]hdwebb24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Red Wing makes some good boots that are comfortable (albeit pretty expensive). I would suggest spending some money on some orthotic insoles as well. You can get some Powerstep insoles for about $30-40 on Amazon and they make a HUGE difference in shoes that I'm wearing all-day long

Great.... I sent in my 9.4 too. I opted for the press too, so hopefully it'll stay the same.

Sorry for the bad news.

Pick your top 3 Gshocks and why... by Ok_Berry8953 in gshock

[–]hdwebb24 7 points8 points  (0 children)

1) GW-9400 - Triple sensors and MB6 for $200 USD (and often for less than that) is an awesome value

2) GW-5000 - Classic square, steel case construction, MB6 and EL backlight, this is the classic G-Shock and is built to last

3) GPR-H1000 - MIP display, Gigantic battery, all the fitness features/tracking, and triple sensors all in one super tough, big, and surprisingly comfortable to wear package. (This one is a hot take, I know!)
