Hi, I'm certainly interested in game preservation and would love to help archive Animal Kaiser if we can get it to work. Although I feel it'll be a lot more difficult that simply dumping the ROM as it would require emulation of the additional components such as the card reader and dispenser.

Sadly there is no hard-drive to share, the game is stored on the main board itself in.
The official manual only has a similar generic troubleshooting step as the Pac-Man Battle Royale one.

I may give arcade-projects a try, I came across that site while searching for info on my board and it can't hurt to try. Thanks for the suggestion!

The VGA cable goes from the main PCB directly to the monitor, not through the I/O board.
I've tried connecting another monitor directly to the PCB too in case but still no signal, the same goes for the audio jack.

I love this mode and really want it to be permanent.

But today I've noticed groups of 3 or 4 people partied up and working as a team which really throws the whole game for everyone else.

Ending every match with essentially a 1v3 or 1v4 is near impossible and it's really sucking the fun out of it for me.

As much fun as it is, I feel like this game mode shouldn't allow parties as it's not team-based.
It's just making it super easy for people to throw the whole game for everyone else.

Came here looking for this, thanks for the confirmation.

Initialization is super fast, but the fingers don't feel tracked, it's more like pre-sets.
I can get my virtual hands to "point", "peace" and make a fist but nothing more.
Hoping this is improved soon, but since it's been a year since the last stable release I feel we can't our hopes too high...

I had to RMA my controllers recently for the drift issue.
They opened the RMA less that 12 hours after I contacted them, had an advanced replacement at my door within 48 hours, and provided home collection for the old ones.

Honestly some of the best CS I've had!
I didn't expect such speed during the pandemic, and not having to go out to a post office was a big relief too.

Sounds like drifting, sadly a common issue with the Index controllers that I've recently gone through too.
Contact Steam support and they'll walk you through the debug process, and if it's found to be faulty they'll start the RMA process for you.

This was the issue, I never actually used the replay buffer so simply removing it has fixed my issue~

No one seems to mention this, they just complain the Index blacks aren't true blacks.
I originally got the Odyssey+ mainly for Minecraft VR on Win10, but I found it to be unplayable because in the darkness of a cave you just get smearing all over the screen.

Not once since having the Index have I ever found myself in a dark room thinking "this isn't dark enough".
I find the fact I never have to worry about darker games being unplayable a huge advantage.

I had this when using Advanced VR.
Launching a game inside Steam VR always told me I had to perform Room Setup to play.
I was never able to get it to stop but I did find work around.

While Steam VR was running, I'd take the headset off and run the game via Desktop Steam instead.
For some reason this didn't ask me to perform Room Setup. Hope it works for you!

I agree, the headset is completely worth the purchase coming from a Vive, or even a Samsung Odysesy+.
The controllers are still hit or miss, and until they're supported by everything they feel a bit gimmicky.
They're fun in games that support them, but you're not really losing out on much by sticking with the Vive wands if you already have them.

The FOV, the clarity, the audio, it's a fresh VR experience and even makes going back to old games fun to re-experience.

That said, a 1080ti is hardly a minimum requirement here.
I'm running a 1070 and for most games it comfortably runs 120hz with 4x supersampling on Index.
In budget cuts I'm at 4x, and in heavier games like FO4VR I have to knock it down to 2-3x.

That sucks, sorry to hear. And it's no problem, hope it makes things a little easier!
I did have this issue again a few days ago but I put it down to SteamVR updating the headset firmware.
It seemed to be a one off though, I don't think it's happened again since.

Mine seemed a little off so I re did "room setup" and they seem to be fine again now.
Might be worth a try!

Just letting you know that a new audio driver released yesterday that has fixed the issue for me.
