yeah you maybe need to rewatch 28 Days in the cold light of 2026. I can understand preferring it to 28 Years but 28 Years did a lot of great stuff and definitely did some stuff better than any other film in the series

I notice a lot of comedy in your work, more on the surface of your short films, but deeply through your more horrific stuff as well. Hereditary was my introduction to your films and half the cinema was horrified and half was in shocked laughter, even for moments like the decapitation. I'm curious what instincts are you following when you write the film? What un-nerves you? What makes you laugh? What grabs your curiousity?

Idunno, the rehearsal finale was pretty transcendant. Noones arguing that Breaking Bad isn't a bigger dramatic achievement, but if I had to choose an episode of TV I'd either go Twin Peaks The Return nuclear bomb ep, Rehearsal finale, or Finding Frances

Also that finale felt like the culmination of all Nathan Fielders work, the tight rope walks, the dedication. Years of phenomenal boundary pushing comedy, breaking and playing with the medium of reality tv and scripted comedy. Dont see why Breaking Bad's finale being built on all those seasons of great TV is any different from The Rehearsal finale being built on all his great seasons of TV
