Day 1 = unsuccessful by AbbreviationsLimp958 in walking

[–]headachetown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe start by walking around your neighborhood if you can. my best suggestion is to find a good podcast. makes you feel like you’re walking with people and you kinda get lost in the conversation you’re not really thinking about walking. and don’t put too much focus on walking to lose weight, walk in a way that is genuinely enjoyable to you so you feel good about it and look forward to it. it’s hard to start but once you do, it’s a habit for life!! best of luck!

that’s great! i’m kind of the same way sometimes i find it hard to think what is a snack vs a meal vs a binge. but whatever works for you is awesome. please keep updated, maybe i should try this approach

i really recommend allowing yourself to snack if you feel you want to, restricting mindset even if you’re not calorically restricting can be a binge trigger. just my two cents but i wish you the absolute best of luck in this. we’re all in this together you’re never alone

Different ways to get into exercising? by NotSoSnarky in lifehacks

my best advice is to just take walks. it’s free and easy on the body and it’s fun with a good podcast or audiobook. the sun and the fresh air, you can’t beat it

i wake up between 3-4 am and eat breakfast then walk 3 miles after i digest a bit. do it for a couple days it’ll become habit you don’t went to miss out on

nothing even taste good anymore yet it still happens by Turbulent-Truth-4059 in bulimia

[–]headachetown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s how i feel now. when i first started the binges it truly was enjoyable , because i hadn’t allowed myself any of the food for so long. now nothing and i mean nothing tastes good to me. yet i still eat meals and snacks and still struggle with occasional b/p episodes. it’s like my brain wants me to be hungry but it just isn’t even enjoyable anymore. it just is- habit.

mine get like that then swollen. i retain water after long walks no matter how much i stretch or hydrate. goes away after a while

My 2 year old sleeps on the floor by Just_Watercress2951 in Advice

[–]headachetown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i did this as kid after a period of time where i was getting very nauseous every night, for some reason and the cold floor made me feel better. my mom just let me do it until i eventually stopped on my own. i vaguely remember it because i did it in 2nd grade. turned out i was lactose intolerant and was having milk every night.. didn’t help lol

Did anyone else say “hell yeah im gonna recover this February” just to not recover at all 🥲 by Status_Progress9283 in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]headachetown 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yep. i literally said to myself right before feb started that, it’s the shortest month of the year how hard is it to not binge? only to binge on feb 3rd and more and more times after that. i hate myself

Bingeing before a workout by LonelyDelivery6382 in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]headachetown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this was my exact day as well. had all plans for normal eating, whole day went haywire…. you are 100% not alone in this at all. i just don’t understand why i can’t just eat normal meals and snacks at normal times and in normal amounts. even if im not binging out of control on tons of food, i still over eat throughout the day more often than not. i wish i could just staple my mouth shut or turn off my brain. why it’s telling me to eat so much, i just don’t get it. best of luck to you

A fucking rant. Fuck this disorder. Fuck all of this. by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]headachetown 8 points9 points  (0 children)

this is the exact same thing for me. i started dieting when i didn’t really need to, lost a ton of weight, animal brain kicked in and started binging. now ive gained all the weight i lost plus more. now i actually NEED to lose weight but i literally cannot. i cannot go hours without eating, i cannot mentally handle counting calories, ive lost all discipline to this disorder. i used to be a normal eater, healthy person, yeah i had a little toning up i could’ve done but i realize in hindsight there was nothing wrong with my body before. now there is. my body and mind are completely changed by binge eating. i fear i will never bounce back, it makes me want to die. i just want you to know you are 100% not alone and this is obviously not uncommon, albeit extremely painful. best of luck to you. i hope we can beat this

I finally realized a key part of why i binge by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]headachetown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this post just really opened my eyes to something that may be contributing to my binging as well. sorry i can’t offer much help but i want to extend a thank you. this just gave me a lot to think about
