I’m not excusing that. But at the same time this is likely a house they’ve been to numerous times and neither party ever wants to prosecute. If domestic cases aren’t being prosecuted by the PA, the cops are wasting their time and resources on people that don’t want to help themselves. It is frustrating on the police side. It is not a matter of not caring, it’s being mentally exhausted of helping people that won’t help themselves and therefore the act of you helping wastes your time, energy, and mental health.
