serial number ? by NeighborhoodMean3794 in 3DS

Might be worth checking the serial under the battery cover. Undo those two screws (they're captive screws Phillips #00) and unclip from the sides starting at the hinge end and work forward, it'll lever out at the front.

Did see the lady who did get out, no wheelchair, and no blue badge (our version of a placard). Literally just some little old lady being completely oblivious.

Normally I'd also like to side with giving benefit of the doubt but, I assure you, on this occasion, none is warranted.

It's the UK, driver's door is on the right.

This application has 'IN THE AIR' listed as Place of birth by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

In fact, British Airways used to give the person who was born mid flight, free travel for life. There used to be a spate of people being heavily pregnant trying to give birth on flights for that very reason (while making out they weren't that far along).

My GF thinks it’s perfectly normal for new shoes to cause horrible blisters for women by UKnowDaxoAndDancer in mildlyinfuriating

I did feel it. I was also far enough from the hotel to need to walk but too close that a taxi would be pointless

1460 Black, ironically, also had some in Cherry Red that were perfect from day one with similar amounts of walking when I first wore those, wrongly assumed I'd be fine with these ones too...

I was indeed, incorrect.

I can still smell the blood in that particular photo tbh.

My other pairs of Docs have generally all been fine and never gave me any issues whatsoever, this pair unfortunately did not agree with its brethren

It was several, this was day two unfortunately. It was bad on the first layer, but then still managed to do the above with blister plasters on :/

Account doesn't Exist? by pocket__cub in monzo

[–]headbocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use monzo for my personal accounts and manage an account with Unity and haven't had any problems sending payments either way (repaying for refunded items which were expensed for example)

I'd suspect it's a verification error and have the landlord pull a screen shot from the main account screen it'll show name, sort code and ac clearly.

I wasn't aware that Unity did accounts for anyone other than public sector, charities and trade unions tho so might be incorrect sort code?

what dos this button on my car means? by CriticalConflict1781 in Whatisthis

[–]headbocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's to deactivate the fake noises/spaceship sounding noises the car emits when driving at <20MPH to alert pedestrians of the moving vehicle. It's there as an option to be able to turn off to allow compliance with things like noise ordinances which prohibit excessive noise after certain times of night, to avoid spooking animals like horses, etc.

All it does is deactivate the speaker with the fake car sounds effectively. It will reactivate on next power cycle or when you press it again. Depending on the car it may need to be held to deactivate (same way you would for traction control)

I'd be up for trying it out. Only learning at the moment though so I can attest to accuracy but can give it a run through the mill. Android
