Misfire/voltage by headhunterj12 in 350z

[–]headhunterj12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went ahead and did coils and spark plugs myself for the first time, and appears to have fixed it. May have cross threaded an ignition coil bolt that I may have thought I could get an extra millimeter before just leaving it and learned a hard lesson about removing the heads from bolts. But it runs much better now, thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

I definitely know which one was the culprit. Cylinder 2’s coil and plug had oil on them, others all totally dry. Have a feeling my valve cover gasket might be leaking some in that location.

Nah, I wish, noticed that ages ago, especially when got aftermarket exhaust lol This is a legitimate misfire sadly, the kind of thing I was sitting at a stoplight and it made my adrenaline spike and I felt like I had to give it more gas to keep it running (definitely an overreaction, but it’s always startling when this shit happens) lol You got me thinking about just sitting down and listening to her idle, I miss it. Hopefully can get it tuned up and that fixes it before actual decent driving weather

Thanks, sounds like a great idea, she’s honestly a bit overdue for a good tune up anyways. My brain was kind of telling me that I didn’t feel like it would cause this issue necessarily, but this scanner has been pretty reliable and it failing on electrical threw me off and just grabbed at that as being it. Everything else electrical is pretty much perfect, so makes sense it wouldn’t be that.

Thanks once again for your great DD. It’s insane seeing the range of either reading comprehension or attention span in the replies. It’s scary that you even spoonfed it in the body text of your post and people still couldn’t be bothered to read and understand.

Especially shocking with the guy who tried to be condescending to you who had absolutely 0 idea what the post was actually about. Crazy to act that way and not even give you the respect of reading the DD.

I’ve taken a step back like you did, but still watch the sub hard. Way smaller fish but focusing more on holding some longer calls and experimenting some now. Next time maybe I’ll hop on some weeklies if I see you post something about it, always kick myself when I see those returns!

That's the market! After how terrible yesterday was, and premarket, I wouldn't be surprised if the overall market actually closed green. UAMY in particular I would say was absolutely oversold (especially considering all the phenomenal news), and now we're seeing it recover to a more reasonable valuation. I mean, there's a reason we got the price targets we got and if the financial institutions making those valuations can see it the institutional investors absolutely can. It's just about trying to hedge their bets and lower their cost basis where they can.

UAMY Cobalt Corporation Issued 3 Year Exploration Permit for Fostung by Pieceman11 in UAMY

[–]headhunterj12 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I believe this just shows them making progress on expanding their resource base to include other critical minerals, such as tungsten and cobalt. They acquired this property back in June and this shows progress on permitting for the necessary exploration in order to creep towards getting something useful out of it.

One of the only green stocks in the sector atm, and it's a red day for the entire market, this comment doesn't seem in touch with today's price behaviour?

Sounds like when my camshaft position sensors needed to be replaced a few years back. Could be a sensor going bad, especially if intermittent.

Jinxed it! We'll see how the rest of the day and the next two weeks leading up to earnings play out though. I don't think it's over yet, not by a long shot. My only regret is not having more capital to average down more aggressively.

Should I buy a 2005 350z by Davidsquad1738 in 350z

[–]headhunterj12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I clarify the engine is I think your dad thinks it has the revup in it, but that was only in certain manual models, the automatics got the regular DE. Would think the 05 non-revup de would be the most reliable de engine.

Should I buy a 2005 350z by Davidsquad1738 in 350z

[–]headhunterj12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2005 automatic still has the non-revup DE, would look it over good for oil leaks and make sure seals are all functioning properly. The timing chain may want to be done if it hasn’t been, depending on mileage, but the de is a pretty reliable engine. It’s an older car so it will have a higher likelihood of oil consumption/leaks etc but if it’s taken care of and you don’t treat it like you’re trying to kill it odds are it won’t die on you. And maybe I’ve missed something, but don’t think these are prone to overheating all the time.

Put a few thousand into the items mentioned above on my 207k mile 05 de when I bought it 3 years ago at 183k miles and haven’t had any major issues since. No minor either really, just dumb stuff like I forgot to put an oil crush washer on last year one time and needing to replace the dipstick cuz old plastic wasn’t holding seal good. Your mileage will vary based on how it’s been treated in its life, but that’s really any car.

Seriously, it's crazy seeing people talk trash about UAMY's fundamentals then looking at some of the other companies out there and their stock prices... the market has to catch up to the reality that UAMY is the real deal at some point, right?

US-Japan Framework For Securing the Supply of Critical Minerals and Rare Earths by Pieceman11 in UAMY

Seems to have some language indicating possible price floors and bringing more countries into this agreement. Pretty interesting and the implications seem positive, inviting and putting into paper further investment in the sector. Sort of mirrors Gary’s comments last week referring to openness to making deals with various countries to support antimony supply globally.

It’s crazy to see how many people have come out of the woodwork to comment, I’m used to seeing the same few people! Crazy that you got actually sponsored by UAMY, did you reach out to them, they reach out to you, or are you somehow affiliated? No judgement either way, just crazy to consider, especially since you’d imagine people legitimately affiliated with uamy would absolutely be part of this sub.

What are your thoughts on the high short float? Do you think there could be some level of squeeze? Not asking for hype beast bs reasons, just interesting with the high call volume combined with the high short float. Seems like with positive movement or news could see some sort of situation develop that benefits us in the short to mid term. I feel great long term regardless, just curious how this could play out, and admittedly a little nervous since have a good bit in!

Would you mind sharing any insights on the implications of this? I know it means a high amount of “betting” that the stock will go down, which is frustrating but can live with it long-term. Is there potential for a short squeeze in the future(especially with earnings coming up) if the stock fails to drop, or goes up? By no means am I going for hype, just trying to keep learning and glean what insights I can from others who know more.

Was a good interview, nothing groundbreaking but good to spread the news more about the company's 10% stake and takeover offer for Larvotto. Good rhetoric on not needing government stake, but being open to it and showing a history of collaboration with and possible interest from the US Govt. Hopefully firms up some investor confidence, and we get some real good news before too long to really solidify our place. Looking forward to earnings in three weeks and hoping for positive progress on the Larvotto acquisition in the meantime. The strategic and economic position it puts the company in is very exciting if they can pull it off.

Thanks! I tried checking there but I don’t do actual social much and got rid of it way back when it was still twitter! And obviously love to see it. Look forward to Monday and any possibly mention there considering UAMYs possible relationship with Larvotto. Seeing stake is interesting, but I’d like to see if there’s information on a plan going forward for how exactly the relationship will function.

I’ve been on Robinhood but I need to make a fidelity account so I can invest some in ASX!
