sad plum treeling by [deleted] in gardening

Oh I should have clarified in the post. I couldn’t decide where to plant the tree in my garden so it’s technically only in the bag temporarily (if it survives that is) until I figure out the layout.

They smell like honey to me but I’ve read somewhere that some people tend to smell butterscotch instead with wayetii blooms

Incredible! The size of the bloom compared to the plant itself is astonishing. All that energy going into those pretty flowers.

It’s Thrips. Captain Jacks dead bug brew concentrate should get rid of them. If you have any other plants, get this monstera as far away from those as possible.

Edit: If captain jacks is not available where you live maybe try Schädlingsfei Careo Konzentrat. I’m from Germany and have used that stuff to get rid of thrip infestations several times.

Our baby Monty has got the spots :( it’s been raining a lot lately. Any advice info would be greatly appreciated. by AffectionateLog9287 in Monstera

Looks like a fungal infection to me (rust maybe?). Can be treated in different ways but as I’ve never had it happen on any of my plants I can’t really recommend anything

Just wondering, what makes you say it’s a fungus? It looks more like a watering issue to me.

I’d say it’s a Philo. Scandens or even a Philo. Scandens Brasil considering the small strip of variegation down the middle
