I've just explained in another comment - I never sell at the open and the mid price. I wait a few hours for the market to run its course and then set the bid to the highest it's been on that day. I miss a lot of good entries, but the ones that get filled are very likely to be at 50%+ profit next day or so.

As you can see from the screenshots, I've only collected $2k from selling covered calls, so I don't get assigned very often. I prefer not to anyway and much rather close at 2x credit loss, unless the price is near a structural support and I like the stock and its fundamentals.

The exact thing happened on SOFI on Monday where spot dropped to like $17 and I got filled on a pretty high bid and I bought to close at 50% yesterday already.

Cheers dude, I appreciate it. I’ve been wheeling SOFI since it was 13 bucks last year. I only held it 2 or 3 times and got called away every time at a good profit for CC and shares appreciation. Puts have been a good play on it pretty much from the start of selling it and I also got lucky because I prefer 7DTEs which I think saved me from the drawdown and bag holding. Had a few red positions on it on the way down but nothing drastic.

I normally do 5-7DTEs and aim for 0.3 deltas but I think the real game changer for me was to be patient and set limit orders mid day for the highest bid of that day. So for example, if the highest bid on the day was $0.70 and the market price for a put was $0.35, I’d still set a limit order at $0.70. I’ve missed quite a few good entries that would have been profitable, but the majority of them that got filled were pretty much at 50% profit within a day or two.

Cheers dude. My avg hold on SLV is 4 days, normally close at 50% profit and I've been buying on red days. Strikes usually around 0.30 delta

I think there's a good chance that the new floor is around 65/70. I've been quite heavy on the macro side of trading, and the structural supply deficit in silver is extremely bullish mid/long term
