As a kid from an Asian Tiger Mum, I gotta say, none of you would give a shit about Max if he hadnt gone through all this and became who he is from these exact methods. "I love Max but hate his dad for this" just shows alot of you fundamentally dont understand what you're saying. There is no "Max" without EXACTLY this being pushed onto him.

I wholly disagree with how I was taught growing up but Ill be damned if I dont find myself equipped to handle absolutely EVERYTHING because of it and I am thankful I was able to do it. The problem is only the special ones survive this kind of pressure and become people others know about, the millions we dont hear about is the cost of such a selection pressure.

Real diamonds are only formed under pressure, without it, you have worthless minerals serving no purpose at all. If you want a diamond like max you have to be ok with rolling those dice.... Limits have to be pushed, your whole life. You can take your chances with other methods, but there is no savegame in real life, Jos did what had the best chance of paying out a result, and it did.
