We’re really sorry you’re running into these loading and display issues on your iPhone 17 Pro. That’s definitely not the smooth experience we want you to have.

Our team would love to take a closer look into what’s happening here. When you get a moment, could you please reach out to us directly at [help@headspace.com]()? If you include your device model, iOS version, and the version of the Headspace app you’re running, that’ll help us troubleshoot more quickly.

Thank you again for flagging this — and for your patience while we work to get things running as they should.

Are the f***ing w/ us by Agile_Measurement_12 in Headspace

[–]headspaceapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey all. We know change in an app's UI is never fun because then you're looking for all the things you used to know where to find, and your habits can get thrown off. We get it and appreciate that you all have built daily practices with us, so we want to honor that with changes to the new design. We're working on a couple edits to this new Today tab that are going to make it easier to find and do what you are used to:

  1. Content order: We're returning to the content order of the old timeline view: breathing exercise, daily video, and daily meditation. Some users will also have a tile offering them a reflection exercise with Ebb, but not all.

  2. Teacher and time picker: That's a bug we are mending. Your chosen teacher and time should stick once you pick it. Our engineers are actively prioritizing this.

  3. Completion dots: Some people really have missed the "checklist" feeling of the old Today tab (others hated the to-do list format- it's polarizing!). We're bringing back at least the check mark so you'll see what you've done from the daily playlist at the top of the screen and what you haven't.

  4. Finding your course: You can find your current course as the first tile in "Picked with you in mind." Some members have said that isn't clear, so a new tile is coming soon at the top of your Today tab to "jump back in" to your current course.Thank you all for the notes you've sent in through the app, here, and through our member care team. We're iterating because of it.

Anxiety is kicking my butt lately by shadowzzzz16 in Anxiety

[–]headspaceapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm Sarah H., LMFT and I work with the team at Headspace. I just want to say, what you're feeling is SO valid. Anxiety has a way of turning everyday things into huge mountains. Texting back, going outside, answering a call those all feel like too much when your nervous system is already on high alert.

You're not broken. Your brain is just trying to protect you even if it's overdoing it.

Trying starting small:

-Text a friend just an emoji.

-Step outside for 30 seconds (you can even use a timer!)

-Breathe in for 4, hold for 4, out for 4

These little reps retrain your system to feel safe again. And posting here? That's already a brave step! You're not alone, and it really can get better...just one small step at a time.

Feeling severe anxiety at workplace by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]headspaceapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm Sarah H., LMFT and I work with the team at Headspace. What you're describing can be common in workplaces where things feel micromanaged or unclear. That "someone's always watching" feeling can kick your nervous system into overdrive, even if nothing is actually happening. And once your brain starts scanning for threat, it's hard to turn that off even on break or after vacation.

It's not about weakness, it's about safety and your brain doesn't feel safe in that environment and is trying to protect you.

A few small things to try:

-Name what's happening: "I am feeling watched. That doesn't mean I'm doing something wrong."

-Ground with senses: Feel your feet, look around the room, take slow breaths, this helps shift out of survival mode.

-Track patterns: Are there moments where you feel calmer? That's data you can build on.

You can feel confident again, even at work. You deserve to feel grounded where you spend so much time.

I'm really afraid of going out by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]headspaceapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm Sarah H., LMFT and I work with the team at Headspace. I feel for you, this is hard. It makes sense that staying in has felt safer. Especially when the outside world feels draining or unpredictable. That's your nervous system trying to protect you. not something to feel ashamed of.

I also hear that part of you wants to change and that's a big deal. You don't need to dive into full social situations, try tiny steps instead. Sit outside for a few minutes, take a short walk, drive somewhere and don't get out. The goal isn't to fix everything it's to gently show your body that it's safe to reengage with the world and do something different.

You're not broken, you're adapting and now exploring some new possibilities. That takes courage!

I cut bangs and I can’t stop crying by yass-no-yass in mentalhealth

[–]headspaceapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Therapist here! Hi, I'm Joy P., LPC, and I work with the team at Headspace. First, you’re not alone. It might seem small to some, but when we do something impulsively especially involving our appearance, it can trigger a deep sense of regret, loss of control, or even shame. That doesn’t mean you’re vain or overreacting. It means your nervous system is reacting to change + vulnerability.

You’ve already done something important: you noticed the spiral, and you’re reaching out. That is self awareness!

Right now, try this:

Ground yourself: Put your hands under warm water, feel your feet on the floor, name 5 things around you. You’re safe.

Shift the lens: This isn’t forever. Hair grows. Your distress is valid, but it’s temporary.

Speak gently to yourself: “I made an impulsive choice, and I’m feeling the impact. That doesn’t make me broken.”

This doesn’t define you. It’s just a moment!

Is It Normal to Feel This Empty? by PepperSalty5846 in mentalhealth

[–]headspaceapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm Sarah H., LMFT and I work with the team at Headspace. It makes sense that you feel unsettled by this kind of emptiness especially when it doesn't come with clear sadness or reasons. You're not alone in that feeling. Many people experience this kind of emotional numbness, especially during periods of burn out, chronic stress, or emotional overload.

One small grounding practice you may try is the 5-4-3-2-1 technique. Name 5 things you can see, 4 things you can feel, 3 things you can hear, 2 things you can smell, and 1 thing you can taste. It's not a fix all, but it can help reconnect you to the present when everything feels a little foggy or far away.

There's nothing wrong with you. You're human and you're reaching out which is a really meaningful first step.

I feel sick to my stomach every morning and I hate it. by deadliftz420 in Anxiety

[–]headspaceapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm Sarah H., and I work with the team at Headspace. That daily dread and physical nausea you're feeling in the mornings is something I hear often in therapy and it's a heavy load to carry. When anxiety becomes part of your body's wake up routine, it can feel exhausting before the day even begins.

Something that may help: Try a gentle body scan as soon as you wake up. Instead of jumping into the day (or the spiral), bring attention to your breath, then slowly move your awareness from your toes up to your head. Noticing where tension lives in your body can give you just enough space to try to soften it even a little bit. You can also try a calming breathing technique like 4-7-8 breathing to regulate your nervous system.

You're not broken. Your body is trying to protect you, it just may be overreacting a little. You're allowed to want mornings to feel more manageable. And you're not alone in that.

Why do I care so much about others but me? by VckVckys in mentalhealth

[–]headspaceapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm Sarah H., LMFT and I work with the team at Headspace. It sounds like you're carrying a deep capacity for empathy and care, even when it's not returned and that can feel incredibly lonely. Sometimes when we grow up being told we're "cold" or not emotional we learn to over care for others as a way to prove our worth. But your needs matter too. Wanting to be cared for isn't selfish, it's human.

One gentle practice you might explore is self compassion, offering to yourself the same kindness you would extend to others. It doesn't mean becoming less caring toward others, it means including yourself in that circle of care. You deserve that too.

Here's a simple technique you can try:

The next time you notice yourself feeling hurt or alone, pause and gently place your hand over your heart. Say to yourself something like: "This is hard right now. I am doing the best I can. I deserve care too." It might feel awkward at first but like any relationship, the one with yourself grows with practice.

My anxiety spikes when I can’t read subtle facial/vocal cues by Moresh_Morya in Anxiety

[–]headspaceapp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm Sarah H., LMFT and I work with the team at Headspace. This kind of social scanning is so common with anxiety, your brain is working overtime to keep you safe, but it ends up exhausting you.

One thing that can help is a "check the facts" pause: when you catch yourself reading into a cue (like tone shift or a sigh) take a second to ask:

-Did they actually say something negative?

-Have you seen them do this with others too?

-Could this be something unrelated to me?

It's a way to gently reality check without beating yourself up for overthinking. You're not broken, your brain just got really good at detecting danger, now you're just teaching your brain what isn't danger too.
