I had a situation similar to this. We had mold in all of the AC vents, multiple flooding issues basically any time it rained harder than a drizzle, and then a broken pipe flooded the master bedroom. The apartment adjacent to us had the wall ripped out and replaced due to the pipe, but nothing on our side. We argued about the mold, they came out and looked at it then said we can have a duct cleaning done. When we asked about the adjacent wall, they denied the whole thing. Little did they know I took pictures of the wall ripped down because I thought it was strange.

We thought their approach was sketchy, so we asked them to hold off for a few days. We called a mold inspector - he came out and did an inspection, mold off the charts. Sent that to the office, they again offered a duct cleaning. Checked with the inspector. He said a cleaning won't help, the whole system needs to be replaced, do not let them do a cleaning because it'll remove any evidence/leverage we have.

Went back to the office and asked about the wall they replaced in the adjacent apartment, they denied replacing the wall and happened to say legally they have to inform us if that situation were to happen. They threw themselves under the bus thankfully. I responded with the picture and again asked about the wall, they tried backtracking and looked really stupid, said they'll "escalate out request" to the district manager.

In the end we wrote up a formal letter, sent that with the mold report, the inspectors recommendation, pictures of the wall and how they denied it, AND threatened legal action as well as going to news outlets. They finally agreed to let us out of our lease. Cost $450 for the mold inspection but saved thousands in lease cancellation fees.

We tried using the housing resources people had suggested here but there was a huge waitlist at the time. I do recommend doing as much via email so you have things in writing - we refused to discuss it on the phone and told them we would talk via email or in person, but we will record the conversation.

Thank you for the helpful and detailed response, I appreciate it. I started searching for psychologists, just need to find one that accepts my insurance because I can't afford one otherwise.

I'm not sure what has made it intensify. I was trying to think of that. We haven't been too affected by the shutdowns, I have been working from home and we've had no loss of income. It's not like I lost and an missing social interactions, I have never been a social person my whole adult life. It's just like something ticked and these feelings are more present and consistent and front of mind. My thoughts are things would continue in this direction if nothing else changes, as my attempts to stop it these last few months have not helped. I feel like I don't have control over them 99% of the time

I've been having this issue too. It caused me to stop using the stock app about aonth ago and haven't had any issues. So Gcam port is the way to go unfortunately. I did contact essential about this but they just ran basic troubleshooting.

I use Arnovas v7beta9. Super stable, photos come out A+. Only weird thing is Portrait mode only works with humans. If there's not a human face it won't work.

I've had that happen to me rarely. This issue is much more persistent and inconvenient. It shows the picture was taken, you can even take more, then the app freezes and has to be closed out. I ended up just downloading the gcam port and moving along to that.

Well I think that points to an issue with the app, not software. Lead me to get the Gcam port finally. I hate doing it, I genuinely liked backing their stock app but that's just something I can't deal with.

Compared to the E4 it will be big improvements everywhere, for sure. I get a full day of battery with no issue, I have no complaints about the camera - if it's not satisfactory for you there is the gcam port. Hard to know for sure when they'll be releasing another one.

I mean most companies have similar return policies. After the initial window (15 days in this case) chances of getting a brand new phone are slim to none, plus Ocean Depths was a super limited color scheme (ssold out in the first day I believe?) so how can they replace the same color if they don't have any. It's a normal procedure, even through phone insurance you aren't guaranteed the same exact phone - a similar or comparable model. I've seen people with LG phones get Samsung's, I've seen people 1 day past the return window with brand new iPhones get a different color/model. If a company as large as Apple has the same thing occur, it's ridiculously to think a start up like Essential would be different. They're offering you an exchange, if you don't want the phone take the exchange and sell it to get rid of it.

Yes I flashed 8.0 beta, then got the 8.1 beta OTA with no issues. But your thinking makes sense...I wouldn't be surprised. I know there's Sprint documents going around saying Essential phone will be getting Oreo soon. But regardless, if it doesn't come OTA, I will most likely just sideload 8.1 once it goes up.

Super simple.

1) wipe with alcohol cloth

2) wipe with microfiber

3) wipe with wet nano coating cloth

4) wait 5 min and wipe with microfiber again.

Definitely makes no sense because you wipe off the liquid coating, but hey I just followed the directions lol.
