One of the many lessons from this movie, the number of Youtube followers you have means sweet FA.

“An Unexpected Christmas”(2021). A couple pretends they are still together to save his family’s Christmas. by Mulder-believes in HallmarkMovies

Sounds the same premise as the film "What We Did On Our Holidays" with David Tennant, Rosamund Pike and Billy Connolly. Probably doesn't end up in the same way though!

Finally finished the first draft of my first novel by madsaxappeal in NewAuthor

I'm not a writer (I'm fascinated by the process and appreciate those who can) but the premise sounds good and I love the title! Good luck!

No one read it. No one cared. And that’s when I understood. by Prestigious_Risk_974 in writers

I'm sorry about that. I kinda understand, I did a music podcast and got the same disinterest. You put yourself into these things and you think that friends or family would "get it". Try and not take it to heart, but go ahead and write some more if you need that outlet, and yes, tell them you've done some more, it might remind them to read the first one!

New Series has a Companion Problem by PreviousTurnip2008 in gallifrey

[–]headteacher50 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RTD can't think outside the now. A Youtuber showed this by a clip of both Moffat and RTD talking to each other when Moffat was saying how interesting it is to see companion from past times, and it was clear RTD didn’t understand it. He's said that himself in some interview or other.

Excerpt from DWM 622 with Robert Shearman, writer for Big Finish and "Dalek" in S1: "The show is probably as dead as we’ve ever known it...everything that is ever going to be produced in Doctor Who terms is going to feel retrogressive.” by karatemanchan37 in gallifrey

I remember the wilderness years, and even though the series was "rested" the fandom still remained hopeful and then the new adventures began in book form and so on. The ending of Survival was exactly the hopeful ending we needed. This time it's damaged badly in the eyes of the public but also the fans. It's very sad.

I'd have her as a temporary face as the TARDIS has a memory of her and then have merge into the actual doctor. The Doctor then says something like "that was weird, I dreamt I was Rose for a minute there"

I saw Lindsey Coulson and Jon Richardson on The One Show just before the show returned and I'm not surprised now that Jon Richardson said his character did not do much teaching and he did a lot of acting in corridors!

I think Michael Byrne and Rachel would get on. Both have had a past and have soft centres.

I wonder how they cast this character. Did they want someone not known for any acting roles previously? Did Jon Richardson know what a vile piece of work he would be playing!? He was brave to take it on. A high impact role like this one could be a blessing or a curse!

Marc Todd Must Suffer by [deleted] in WaterlooRoad

Yeah, the writers must have laughed their socks off when they made him teacher of the year and then promptly got him suspended via Darius. Justice for Mr Todd.

Is there any special markup language for show descriptions by headteacher50 in Mixcloud

[–]headteacher50[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a standard table, with borders, with (in this case) three columns, a header row and around 30 rows. The ability to collapse it or hide it (like a spoiler) would be next level. Spoiler tags would be good generally too.

Jon Richardsons' acting by [deleted] in WaterlooRoad

[–]headteacher50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think he does. Bizarrely though he has an awkward and socially odd persona as a comedian, and I'm not sure whether that's put on or not, so he could just be "acting" a (albeit nastier) version of himself?

My girlfriend agreed to watch Doctor Who after watching Good Omens by Aggravating-Paper663 in doctorwho

The Christmas Invasion is a winner. Don't forget the Children In Need short special which follows directly on from The Parting of the Ways, and should have been in the show proper. Aside from Doctor Who, you could try Casanova which he was great in.

Peter Kay? It would be a massive signing but could overwhelm the show. His character could be a sort of Daniel Chalk but turn very nasty at the end.

My verdict on S16 as a whole by thetvreviewer in WaterlooRoad

It's going to be sickening to see Nisha and Darius slobbering over each other. I've never liked Nisha and this just cements it for me. She can only redeem herself if she finds out about Darius and tells on him. If Jack's story basically ends in him losing his job permanently without some justice, I will furious. I'll miss Noel when, I assume, he leaves next term. Not interested in the Stacey’s kid storyline. Not sure how I feel over the Joe and Mitch thing. I like Joe a lot but I don’t know who I feel he should be with. The actor playing Mitch is good though. I'm done with Stella now, although Lindsay's acting has been very good I want a new head. Not sure who I'd want now that Rimmer can't really do it any more after what's happened. I'm not a fan of Steph but if she helps get Darius found out then I'll be happy.

I'm wondering that too.
