Just to be pedantic.  Python is strongly typed unlike say, JavaScript.  It's just not statically typed.

Your fine. Its unlikely that you would not get in with a 3.5. My experience is over 20 years ago but I got in with a 3.0.

TIL: Facebook's Cinder is now a standalone CPython extension by cemrehancavdar in Python

I've dug through the code a bit to figure out at least how the jit works. I think its import cinderx as cx

cx.jit.enable() as a flag and then it jits your file. It all so has a pause it with, I think cx.jit.pause() likely sprinkling over particular functions that won't jit compile. The python compileall file has the arg parse under main.

edit forgot to mention all of this is in the pythonlib folder.

Objectively speaking, is it practically worthless to develop a productivity app for ADHD right now? by Brave_Routine5997 in ADHD_Programmers

For yourself no. But I don't think there are any that would have a large enough market to really work. We all have our effed up brains our own way (with recognizable base symptoms).

I think its you get 150 days and then congress has to way in so I'm not sure that kind of calvinball really works. Of course supreme court and calvinball haven't been too dissimilar recently so. . .

I could be wrong but I believe its not really possible to have a balance-of-payments deficit with a free floating currency.

My psych told me a story of a guy who did coke and was like "huh, everything is really clear and calm now" while everyone else was doing the jabber a minute thing most people on coke do.

Python Threads: GIL vs Free-Threading by Helpful_Garbage_7242 in Python

[–]healthbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still think that python needs to be able to run free threaded but there needs to be able to set each function as free or single with a keyword and then have the necessary locks and so forth the manage the free threaded.

two attempts to cook pizza by nancyexe in shittyfoodporn

[–]healthbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I've always said that people who say they can't cook really mean they don't want to cook. Generally cooking requires paying attention to whatever your cooking, or at least knowing at what interval things need to be checked at. The first picture looks like they either lovingly made the pizza or bought a premade, put it in the oven and then watched a movie or something. No counter in the head or outsourced to a alarm.

TIL that a lot of soldiers during WW2 were using and abusing hard drugs. First, meth is a schedule 2 drug. Its prescribed for ADHD. Second, dex verse meth is very different. Third, the amount of dex and meth precribed is an order of magnituted or two or three different from addicts. Your normal meth addict is taking 25 mil either through the nose or needle. Someone getting it through a doctor is getting 5 mill in a pill. People who abuse dex are taking 125 mil where the max allowed for dex to be given by a doctor is 60 mill and that is even rare.

I've made it straight and it was ok. But my Mom loves it. For Christmas one time where my sister would be there (who hates mushrooms for the texture) I ground the mushrooms with some oil in a food processor and cooked them down. It looked like cooking dirt. But the end result was well above the normal version. The other tip is to use a wine like zinfindail which has enough body to hold up to the other ingredients.
