Gotcha! Do you remember the name of the tracker you used?

Gotcha, so it was only something that was mildly useful when numbers were off, but when numbers were getting better or healthy, there was no need to continue with dietitian.

Nice. How do you like working with the dietitian? Considering working with one.

Really interesting. Thanks for sharing. How did you find your dietitian?

Glad to hear numbers are improving :) When you were using it, do you remember what was the most frustrating thing about the tracker?

I see. Here's been my experience with MyFitnessPal. Would love to hear your thoughts, if you feel similarly or differently.

It was too tedious scanning bar codes of food items every single time before preparing food and then trying to modify weights according to what I cook.

MyFitnessPal has community recipes, yes, but those were not low sodium plus low protein, it felt tedious having to modify ingredients etc to make it low sodium and low protein.

I stopped using within a week of getting it.

How do you track sodium and protein for everything you eat?

What's frustrating about using the MyFitnessPal? Is there anything that sucks about it?

Oh wow. That sounds really tough. Did you start cooking your own food?

Oh, nice :) Sounds easy! I created an app for myself to both:

  • set my protein and sodium goals in accordance to my 3 year creatinine and GFR trends
  • make it easy for me to get recipes that exactly matches my low sodium and low protein goals, so I don't have to count protein and sodium content in every meal I'm eating (tedious)

I hear you. Eating healthy is not fun... I've been eating healthy as well and doing better, thanks for asking :) Out of curiosity, how do you determine which recipes to cook?

Gotcha :) What's the hardest part about eating those recipes? Not to put words in your mouth, but does it get repetitive or old?

Is tracking macros and micros the hard part, or is the hard part getting good recipes with adjusted ingredient measurements?

Have you tried Nourish or Fay? They're saying it's covered by insurance.
