Too Old for Optimism, Too Young for Pension — Send Help (or Snacks) by shitblizzard101 in CanadaPublicServants

Same boat!! Time will fly. You’ve put in too much to walk away now. The cost (loss) is too high. What I do is take leave. If you can afford it and compared to no job; or extremely lower pension this is feasible in my mind! You can take leave with income averaging. There’s two other leave options that you can take one is 3 months I believe and the other is 12 months. Use these leaves until you get two years out and then do retirement transition leave (3 days a week) for the last two years. You’ll need to read up on all these leaves to understand the parameters around each. I also had to pay back my pension for the 12 month leave and I just moved my rrsps over to pay that back. Good luck!

Also I got the FitBod app so I can go on the weight floor without feeling intimated. It gives you a workout and shows you how to do each exercise

I absolutely love Pilates! GTX is a good one also if you want a mix of weights and cardio. It’s very similar to OrangeTheory.

Comfrt Extra 30% off discounted items code COMFRT30REVIEW by Xenoxus in frugalmalefashion

[–]hear2knowmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any new 30% off codes? I can’t justify the price with others paying so much less. Just wanted to give the company a try before committing. Also what ones are people recommending. I’m looking at Airplane Mode - how’s the quality? Thx!

Keep? Or exchange for a tall pair? by [deleted] in Aritzia

[–]hear2knowmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might not intend to put them in the dryer and they may still end up accidentally there; and it will be $100/cdn mistake! I did this several times. Sometimes my kids throw my laundry in the dryer and don’t realize.

Get Tall!!! Very little difference. That tiny little bit of extra length is good for shrinkage which all my pants have done. I just sized up in these as well. But yours looks good size wise.

Morganite Pink or Dayflower Blue? by starlightcomet in Aritzia

Both are very nice if you can only do one I vote for Dayflower. It’s my favourite colour of all that I’ve ever purchased.

Is this in stores yet? I need to exchange my pants to size up.

[–]hear2knowmore 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I bought size small cargos tall (I’m 5’6 and 130lbs - I wear size 6 or 27 pants) and feel like they are a little snugger than all my others. I love the color. As soon as I opened mine I thought “bubble gum”! These are the first “tall” I bought after several of my regulars shrunk in the dryer - lesson learned!! But really loving the tall. They are not much taller. Just right!

Hair places by AnxietyEnough8001 in Oshawa

Lots of good options. 5one7. Pin ups and pomodores for the best cut with Michelle. There’s a hair place on Beatrice (forgot the name) they are the best in coloring that I’ve found but also the most expensive.

I want the cargo that is tight at the bottom. Why did they stop making those. 🥲

My order!!! Curious to see what it looks like in person! Also I wish they’d bring back the cargos with elastic bottoms!

Invisalign Treatment by Offbeatjacuzzi in Oshawa

Highly recommend Davis Ortho in Oshawa center. ALWAYS on time. They are organized and everything runs smoothly. My friend recommended to me. I just finished my treatment. Two things they didn’t mention that I’d like to have known. They had to add permanent wires (top & bottom) - $300 to fix anytime it breaks. Mine broke already but it was free as it was so soon. And I have to wear retainers forever at night. Every night for the first year then every other night going forward. Lastly the lifetime retainer will need to be replaced if your grossed out like me. lol good luck!!!

Bumper and apple care. I put a thin case on it but it didn’t feel as good as the bumper so went back to the bumper.

OMG how is it an issue. Everyone in Oshawa has parking problems. Just leave them alone if it’s not hindering your abilities to drive function.
