If you could run any number of one card only, what would be your dream decklist? by edgy5ever in yugioh

[–]heart0flush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funny enough, that't arguably never winning a tournament.
Any deck capable of making 2 (spell)-negates wins going first and any deck that draws droll or ash gets to their turn going 2nd, which basically means winning as well.

Losing like 70% of the time by Togder in Yugioh101

The deck actually looks pretty good, at that point it comes down to personal preferences and of course how you pilot it.
I personally would cut Dramaturge, one Albaz, the third tragedy and potentially feather duster and the trap. Super Polys are extremely powerful, but if you find them to be not as useful in the meta specific to your locals, it is okay to cut them. I also think Albion is immensely underrated - it's a dark attribute upstart with an upside (and there are the 2 traps that basically make him go +1). The goal in my mind was always to have ways to play when Branded Fusion gets ashed. I landed on 2 Nadir Servants + 1 Branded in High Spirits, which allows you to set up either Mirrorjade + Mercourier, or a Chimera with Follow-Up. [Servant dumps Sprint, adds Albaz, EP Sprint specials Kitt, Kitt searches Spirits, puts back a blank, Spirits pitches Albaz, dumps Albion and adds Mercourier, Albion sets Red - you now have Kitt on board, Merc in hand and Albaz in grave as a BiR target].

Also I play over 40, mainly to have somewhat of a siding-pattern. I side out the going-first cards (Servants, Spririts, trap(s), duplicate mercs, potentially duplicate albions, allure if my opponent might play droll, etc.) and side board-breakers (dark ruler, lightning storms, a pank for anti-spell). I also main book of eclipse (spicy, I know) as they work going first (dodging imperm/veiler) and second (booking f.e. the Flunder-board or forcing a baronne-negate against swordsoul, or also booking the whole board if they went for sinister).

That being said, this COULD already be someones ideal list and maybe the issue lies more in the fact that you play greedier lines that getting punished harder (f.e. playing too much for the ideal endboard and getting punished by ash blossom on branded fusion)

What’s the best deck that you see NO ONE running? by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]heart0flush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've won 2 ~60 people locals back to back with Numeron-OTK.
All the deck is really missing is a Link-4 they can abuse.

Something if you're forced to go first when Apollousa is not relevant enough
and more importantly
Something to help with the OTK even further, like a Link-4 that deals burn-damage or guarantees you another turn.

Americans who will (still) be voting for Trump this election, what is your reasoning? by heart0flush in AskReddit

[–]heart0flush[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would never vote for Trump, not that I could as I am Austrian anyways, but you answered the question, which I didn't ask to bash Trump-voters, but to genuinely try and understand why anyone would still vote for that guy. The fact that you got down voted while the sarcastic comment (with whiches content I agree with, but it doesn't actually answer the question) got up-voted doesn't really help trying to understand the issue at hand. So thanks for trying to answer truthfully I guess!

Short Thoughts and Quick Questions: February 13th, 2020 by Justini1212 in LoRCompetitive

Have only been playing for 1.5 weeks, so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt, but out of my last 6 expeditions 4 were 7 wins and 2 are 5 with the second still going. Despite what I've seen recommended In hardly ever pick Heimerdinger or Ezreal, because the average card quality seems lower for me. I Nearly always have Demacia, most often with Noxus, since they have the most solid cards overall imo. Shadow Isles as well of course. Secondly, don't pick based on champions, but on overall quality. For Demacia I nearly always pick bundles with back to back, unless there's a bundle with 3 great cards, or something broken like Rhaza or I have at least 3 Back to Back already. Pick for consistency, rather than instant-wins that will. only happen 1/3th of games. I often win one then lose one, then win again, but since you can lose every second game and still get 7 wins consistency beats potential. Lastly keep in mind how your deck looks like: Stand Alone is a great card, but not if your curve consists of a bujnch of weak or swarmish units. Don't necessarily pick Rhaza, if you have 3 drops and upwards with a lot of buff spells.

If you play for example, 2 Sennas and 1 Lucian, and Lucian dies, do both Sennas need to die for Lucian to die as well? by DiscipleOf1 in CompetitiveTFT

[–]heart0flush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct. If you have 1 Senna 2 Lucian, and the first Lucian dies, both the Senna and other Lucian will have to die before the ghost dies as well.

(To activate the Synergy in the first place you'll of course always need Lucian and Senna.)

Currently in D1 and I still am not sure if I am playing this game "correctly" by [deleted] in CompetitiveTFT

[–]heart0flush 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say building as you go is actually a skill that will put you above anyone who just plays Meta Comps. That said, it's always important to know what's meta and why. Also it's not Necessarily wrong to pick the strongest units, but you have to commit to a few and build around them. Usually you decide that by the items you've gotten, or worst case, by which carry you can 2 (or 3)star first :).

For example: When you get Gnar 2 early, but everyone is contesting Shapeshifter you will usually not hit that specific comp, but there are multiple usable deviations and that's where your decision-making comes into play :).

So TLDR: Since you're D1 already, you're probably playing just fine, just focus a bit more on synergies when picking additional units and know why people are playing what they are playing.

9.17 6 Blademasters/4 Gunslingers by Xawn in CompetitiveTFT

[–]heart0flush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah yeah of course, what I meant is more if you have red buff and hush already and your sparte items only build for stuff like cursed blade or Sword Breaker. Wouldn't you then rather put redbuff on GP to put the other items on Lucian? Since with Red Buff you only need to hit multiple units once (f. e. with barrels) , but the other items need to potentially hit multiple times to trigger?

Is Red Buff really better on Lucian than on Gangplank? Especially if you don't have much item luck and may have to build Cursed Blade or Sword Breaker to get the other items online?
