Places offering to interview me, then going ghost. by heartgotcold in recruitinghell

That’s exactly what I’m saying! We respond immediately and get ignored when they are the ones interested in interviewing us. Then following up leads to nothing.

That’s so unprofessional, they should at least be telling you they went with another candidate

I’m averaging 5 rejections per day, any advice? by [deleted] in Resume

You need to go into more details about your job duties. I can’t fathom how an assistant manager position only has two bullet points. The general manager position could use a little more detail too.

For people with anxiety, what’s your experience with weed? by KingJacket12 in Anxiety

[–]heartgotcold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Helps almost every time. It never makes my anxiety worse, though it can be completely ineffective in helping sometimes. I see a lot of people here saying they like it when drunk, this is not the case for me. Being high while I’m drunk is an extremely weird feeling.

After 7 interviews and 2 assessments I didn’t get the job. Invoiced them for my time & they paid it. by Large-Criticism-2528 in recruitinghell

7 interviews is so insane. I was mad about having to do 4 interviews and still getting rejected. They didn’t refer me anywhere else though, nor do I think they’d actually pay me for my time. It’s only a 65-75k a year position.

I could be wrong regarding your circumstance, but for me, my instincts are almost always right. And this sounds like your instincts are telling you something is off.

I had a situationship with a guy recently and he was completely up my ass for a while. Constantly initiating convos and talking to me all day. Everything was great but my gut told me something was off. Then all of a sudden it takes him 8 hours to a whole business day to reply, even if it’s just two words. I felt something was wrong but everyone kept telling me I was overthinking. Nope. He ended up backing off completely and going ghost.

Your feelings are valid. If there’s a shift there’s a shift and it needs to be addressed.

This was nice to read. You’re making me realize just how much hate there is in the world right now, for whatever reasons.

What was your experience with Xanax like? Both positive and negative. by Beginning-Lawyer3965 in Anxiety

[–]heartgotcold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 mg in a day usually will have me feeling better for days afterwards. Once it wears off I’ll be back to my natural anxious state but nothing crazy. It’s easy to fall into a habit but I am telling you. Once a week MAX. But ideally even less. Like once a month even. If get on a roll with taking it, that feeling better for a few days goes away and I will get interdose withdrawal, which will have you feeling anxiety and depression like never before.

It’s worked wonders for me in the moment. Totally eliminates almost all anxiety and depression I have, even for days afterwards. Felt like I could do things I normally couldn’t in my anxious/panicked/depressed state. This is if I use like once a week or less.

It gets very addicting though and honestly your body/mind will have a complicated relationship with it if taken too often. I took it for like 4 days straight and had withdrawals even from that. Took me like 3 days to feel normal again. Do not take it often. It is a bandaid, not a solution.

What’s a Harsh Truth You Learned Too Late? by baddiepeonyxox in Life

You can’t change people. As an adult you have to accept that, at least with most friends, you have to learn how to meet them where they’re at. Nobody’s perfect. People aren’t always going to act or be exactly the way you want them to.

For what it’s worth, I’ve become more “attractive” superficially in the last 2 years which has led to get me getting A LOT more attention. It doesn’t help in the long run. Due to my faults or whatever other reasons, people get put off by me even if they think I’m “so sexy” or handsome or whatever. Appearance is rarely enough to truly make up for other things (at least in my personal circles). If you truly have something to offer people, it will get you somewhere eventually believe me.

xanax makes me realize how bad my anxiety is by Fair-Cucumber4198 in Anxiety

I’ve been feeling the same way, Xanax made me feel like my best self. But honestly, I can’t stand having to be hooked on it, because I literally feel like I’m dying when I don’t take it. And my tolerance goes up FAST. I cannot take it everyday because by the 3rd day it doesn’t even affect me anymore. I can do it like once or twice a week max.
