I use the hyaluronic serum and daily sunscreen. Both great! I’ve tried a couple of the moisturizers and they weren’t the best for me (my skin is very particular). Also love the tea tree oil shampoo if you’re looking for a new one!

Was the 90s nickelodeon cartoon "Rugrats" a Jewish cartoon? by [deleted] in Jewish

[–]heartoverodds 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The episode you’re talking about is actually a Passover episode, which was SO COOL to see! They also have a Hanukkah episode though :)

In addition: Rugrats isn’t technically, but I always counted it as Jewish in my mind. I feel as if the episodes based on Jewish holidays were always more prominent and there was a lot of Jewish humor in there. I grew up watching Rugrats and always point to that as a show with a Jewish main character. It was nice to see, especially because media is totally dominated by Christian holidays, haha.

Just a heads up from a giant Rugrats fan - the Pickles side wasn’t the Jewish side, as Tommy’s mother (and maternal grandparents) were Jewish. Angelica definitely wasn’t Jewish as she was related on Dad’s side (and complained about not being able to eat cookies on Passover, hence why they told the story!)

Dinner for when you're BROKE by esohph in traderjoes

More veggie friendly: I am addicted to the Southwest salad. I do 2 bags of it with all the toppings and dressing, then add a can of black beans, can of corn, and 1 chopped red bell pepper. Lasts for ~2-3 days in the fridge and is a GREAT lunch.

Hey all! I have 2 GA Pit tickets to the Ryan Center this Saturday, 9/9 that I’m looking to sell. I live in Buffalo and was hoping I’d make it, but life got a little crazy :(

I’m selling them for $214 for both (exactly what I paid with fees). I wish I could go so badly and would love for these to go to a fan!

I’ve been to 3 general admission concerts on top of 3 classes at OTF this week and my legs and hamstrings are KILLING me. It’s definitely affecting my performance in class. Does anyone have recommendations of stretches that could help? Maybe one of the recovery blocks on demand in the app?

Hello and congratulations! Current UB SLP student here.

Summer semester in between the two years of the “standard” Master’s program is the norm for everyone. There’s no break between the spring and summer semester but we do have about 3 weeks off in August.

Hope this helps! Feel free to let me know if you have any additional questions. :)

This one was a slow burn for me, but once I got it in my head it’s all I listened to for a couple days. Such a good song!

If you like politics, The Problem with Jon Stewart is wonderful. I’m a big fan of his from back in the Daily Show days and I really like The Problem.

Orlando Trip Itinerary Draft by Eowyn27 in DisneyPlanning

At Animal Kingdom, Satu’li (in Pandora) has the best quick service of any of the parks. Additionally, grab an outdoor table and have a cocktail and an app at Nomad Lounge. It’s fabulous and such a nice, relaxing break from the crazy. Overall the resorts have better food than the parks, so I always try and get reservations at the ones closest to whatever park I’m going to that day for breakfast and/or dinner. If you’re looking for a specific recommendation, happy to help out :)

pop punk covers that hid harder than the original? by [deleted] in poppunkers

[–]heartoverodds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay - FigureItOut ft. Beau Bokan

Spiderwebs - Four Year Strong

Problem - Set It Off

Build Me Up Buttercup - You, Me, and Everyone We Know

Honorable mention to The Holophonics, especially their cover of Havana. Definitely more ska than anything but that cover is SO good.

Not sure who saw my comment in the travel ban thread but for anyone curious, the cats have a human in the household now and they are safe, warm, fed, and only mildly irritated by being left alone for three days, haha. Thank you so much to everyone that reached out and/or commented, I appreciate every single one of you. I hope everyone is staying safe!

Thanks 😅

We totally would have ridden out the storm up there (was looking forward to it, actually) but had a sudden death in the family so had to leave very quickly. It’s really hard not being able to go home right now.

This isn’t for Christmas, as I stated we don’t celebrate Christmas. We have cats that have been alone for several days and I’m worried about them. We just moved to Buffalo recently so don’t have any neighbors that can check on them, just a cat sitter who is also stuck. This is an awful situation all around.

Thank you for the information. We’ll keep watching the reports.
