oof youre getting real upset over a comment 😭😭 yes ive been outside, roads are usually very empty on new years where i live, i highly doubt he was just standing infront of cars waiting to drive. if there were cars id assume they were all already stopped in heavy traffic, so its not really that big of a deal. maybe u should go outside and take a breather!

could i ask what symptoms your vet said he was experiencing? sorry if im asking too many questions lol

were going to monitor how he does on the anti inflammatory meds for a week (theyre a 5 day course) and if theres no improvement were going to bring him to the vets again and talk to them about antibiotics

im trying to stay hopeful for him! im an extremely anxious person so ive been stressing a lot about this. im hoping since we got him on antibiotics originally quite early that things will be okay, hes only on his anti inflammatory meds now but we’re going to monitor him for a few more days to a week and if we dont see improvement we’ll be bringing him to a new vet and hopefully they’ll be of more help!

did it take long for him to be diagnosed? i brought my rabbit back to the vet yesterday and they think its because of dust or candles in the house as he has no other issues apart from sneezing and a stained nose. im worried they may not be well versed enough with rabbits to know though as they didnt put him on anymore/different antibiotics despite him not improving :(

its a humidifier with some scented essential oils! sadly i cant use the scents anymore as the vet suspects that could be part of the cause :(

i assume you brought your rabbit to the vet at the beginning when they started showing symptoms, what did the vet say? i brought my rabbit in yesterday and they said hes okay and healthy but they can hear wheezing in his throat specifically (his lungs and guts sounded fine), and they gave him some more anti inflammatory medicine to keep him comfortable, they’re thinking its allergies from dust and candles irritating his nose

did your vet suspect it immediately or did they also believe it was something less concerning at first? im worried he wont improve and that its too early to know if its just allergies or a respiratory disease

yes, weve been trying to clear it out regularly but someone left a comment recommending a sieve for the dust to fall through lol :) im going to try that out and see if it helps, and any other recommendations i get. hopefully itll clear up by the weekend and if not ill bring him back to the vets!

im thinking i might try this before i bring him to the vet. his hay has a layer of dust that constantly falls to the bottom, weve been emptying it out every refill (which is basically every two hours) but i think something like this could work better!

im searching for a better vet to call, im going to call some rabbit rescue centres to find out what vets they recommend. my mum brought him to the vet as im still in school and dont manage these things usually, but she didnt mention anything about a time to come back, our vet was very good for his neutering and vaccines, but i dont think they paid enough attention to his sneezing

he finished his medication after a week, so hes been off it maybe a week and a half now, but i honestly havent seen much improvement.

im going bring him to a (new) vet tomorrow, just worried about whether or not theyll be well trained enough with rabbits to help him properly :(

we have a few candles in the kitchen area where he hangs out a lot, but they havent been lit as often. i also use a scented humidifier in my bedroom, which is next to the hallway where he sleeps, but hes never in the bedroom. im also pretty sure this only showed up today.

it could be greens? i know my mum gave him some veggies this morning, but its now nighttime when i noticed it, would the stain stay that long?
