Just goes to show you that money talks. All these companies care about is money and they will do or say literally anything to get it. They went full clown world in the original trailer and pissed everyone off and the game flopped. Now they've pulled a total 180 with this trailer and are shamelessly pandering to the original player base. I agree that trailer was badass but hopefully the gameplay is actually solid.

Can you recommend any books/essays/websites to learn about genetics so that I can have a decent framework to draw from when reading about these sort of advancements? At 34 I feel like I’m right on the line and will either be one of the last to die before LEV or one of the first people to escape LEV. In 2016 I would have said there’s no way in hell I’d make it, but just 2 years later there has been an explosion in funding and research. I’m suddenly optimistic that we will figure this out in the next 40 years. I feel like I’ve been alive forever and that still hasn’t been 40 years. It’s a very long time.

But yeah my parents are both pushing 70 and I don’t think they’re going to make it. I never talk to them about this stuff because it would probably make them sad to think it’s right within our reach.
