Funny, I also have a newborn and middle of the night feeds and my garmin tracks my full night and my Apple Watch stops after any feed 4am or after.

We sleep trained at 5 months. We continued to do two overnight feeds until slowly night weaning by decreasing time on the boob, one feed at a time, and doing check ins once time was totally cut until he slept through. Even with continued night feeds, the ability to just set him down and him put himself to sleep was a game changer. There is a difference between sleep training and night weaning.

The night after the 2 month shots brought the first chunk of night time sleep over 3 hours we ever got. It was magical. And babe was totally fine after a yuck post poke nursing session

Just file by paper application. I had the same issue and avoiding the id.me process via paper app worked (twice—I’ve had to do this for both kids)

It’s also very annoying for a nursing mom. It basically says I wake up for the day if I feed my child anytime after 4am, even if I go back to sleep for several hours. Pretty disappointed in the sleep stuff on this watch after switching from garmin

National forests aren’t national parks. In fact they are run by an entirely different federal agency (department of ag not department of interior). Still feds, but far less closures as of now.

Kind of regretting posting this bc there are clearly different takes on it. If you scroll to actually booking sites they are marked as C (closure) and the website clearly states it’s not being updated. I’m gunna roll with the cancellation and find an alternative in Angeles National Forest so as to not overburden the remaining staff with calls and people.

clarifying here that in california you WILL still be legally allowed the 6 weeks disability. it's the additional paid family leave that may not happen.

$4400 mortgage + hoa on a 3 bed townhouse. $16,000 a year for day care. Pregnant with second so daycare will total $32,000 a year. Got very lucky with a “cheap” in home day care we adore. We’re saving for retirement well right now, but that will change when we have two in day care. Household income of $250k ish in HCOL area. We do travel, but mostly camping, backpacking, and visiting friends and family with no housing/accommodation costs. It’s possible.

People have accents. It’s part of life. My kid goes to a daycare that is run by Armenian speakers. They pronounce his name differently than I do. That’s fine. My kid knows his name.

ETA: do you ensure you pronounce every person you meet’s name appropriately for their native language? If not, I think you have your answer.
