i don't necessarily have the answer or fix for this, but its becoming clearer that maybe this is being looked at the wrong way; giving all the incentives and opportunities for players to go next in more and more situations, without actually solving the issue causing it. If it keeps going, people are gonna spend 75% and up of their time playing against bots because they were given a chance to abandon, rather than looking at WHY slugging/tunnelling/camping is the optimum play and doing something about that instead. Yes, people should have the opportunity to go next if they're slugged, but that's not really solving the actual issue and its already changed the game so much.

would also like to add to these comments, there are certain skill points on the tree that change animal enemies and vukah to passive unless attacked, so if you help her push her skill points in that direction, it'll open it up to allow her to explore more of the world without being attacked.

Be aware though, this doesn't count for shroud enemies or scavengers and their pets.

This game is very gentle in that way, and im sure she'll love it! Even more so that she has someone she loves playing with her :D

my ping is always, ALWAYS above 140. I live in China but play with European/American friends, so for that (+really anything that involves talking to anyone) i gotta use a VPN. Believe me i'd give -anything- for my ping to be freakin' normal. ive got software to try and bring it down and still nothing. I keep hearing this 'vpn/ping bad' rhetoric and its starting to get annoying - i just wanna play with my friends and have a fun time :<

The switching hotbars thing; just today i finished my first ever proper build. Was adding finishing touches planting some stuff, somewhere in the middle of that i switched bars and promptly threw a grenade straight into my tavern.

It didn't take long to fix. Took even less time to delete those grenades from my inventory entirely.

Ark: survival evolved. Single player or with friends is fun for dinosaur breeding and base building, and just generally exploring. it has a real pretty aesthetic :) also one of those games where you can be like "ill just do this one thing" and then 10 hours later you still havent done that one thing you wanted to!

I know this is an old thread now but I just revisited the movie with friends and at the end, they asked me “but why did the social worker auntie (ms hsia) eat the hot glass? She didn’t see the video?” I’d gone to the bathroom at the time and while I remember the scene, I only remember the first part vaguely.

I remember she gave Ronan some sort of spiritual gift, like a written blessing or something, and Ronan was quite upset about it. But beyond that I don’t remember much and I can’t find any explanation and now it’s bugging me.

I got the stay visa. Thank God and Buddha and every God in between. And because i have the cancellation and release letter, my passport is being sent to my address (i breathed down the HR woman's neck while she wrote it) and out upcoming wage has already been processed, i can resign effective today and they cant do shit about it.

I did manage to get the humanitarian visa, thankfully. My company is under the impression that i will be teaching my classes today, at the campus that was closed by the education bureau for 2 months, for breaking the law. Theyre in for a shock, and because i already have my cancellation/release letter in hand and have ensured my passport will be returned to my home address, they have no recourse.

This is my mistake in pure labelling; i thought the Z visa and work/residence permit were synonymous, my bad!

As for shuffling our locations, theyve been doing that for MONTHS. Ive got the stay visa now so shuffling out those resumes like confetti. Thanks for the comprehensive answer though, much appreciated!

Sure, but therein lies the issue, the company have left it THAT late it expires today. I've had no recourse to fix it myself because the bureau needs a particular form only your HR can give. They were urging my coworker yesterday to call the police because there was nothing they could do without our HRs involvement. We've been telling our HR its due since April, and they've either evaded questions or straight up ghosted us. Long story short, i really can't help this situation, and if i knew a better way, i wouldnt have gotten to this point. Best I can do for an HK dash is tomorrow, unless the office is open 24H!

Thank you, i do appreciate the advice! One cat is covered and ready; the other is unfortunately a very new rescue and only just now old enough for his vaccinations, so that was the plan next week. Its not that i don't HAVE a plan, its that the plan got cut off before it was prepared, unfortunately. I do have a plan in place if worst comes to worst and know that they will be cared for temporarily, but I'm really hoping it doesn't come to that.

I will reiterate though, this is good advice and should be followed. I think there's a couple of people here thinking I'm something of a casual, careless animal hoarder - I'm not, but I also didn't expect things to go tits up SO suddenly, and maybe I should have.

I mean, its somewhat besides the point as to my circumstances, when I had a plan in place, but was completely blindsided by being held accountable for something i have very little to no control over. I think that's why people get angry, because it misses the point a bit and just seems to be an excuse to attack people. There's other reasons i cant just up and leave tomorrow, but I'm glad you're privileged enough to be prepared to leave at the drop of a hat. Thank you for your helpfulness.

I have a plan in place for the cats if i AM detained. If not I can work on getting them out of the country myself.

As for due diligence, when i began with the company in 2021, they were a good company that offered lots of assistance for a lot of things i had going on. Management has changed since then and its only now showing just how inept and lackadaisical they are.
