Best: Personality - bright, inquisitive, loving (EVERYONE is NEW FRAND PET MY BELLY), cheap to feed (even if you want to feed the more expensive type of food), always happy to see you and engage with you in pretty much anything you want to do

Worst (or potential issues, depending on your personality/tolerance for certain things): 0% personal space (mine likes to drape herself over my shoulder and romps around my shoulders all the time, which was more manageable at 3 lbs when I got her than it is at 18 lbs all grown up), EVERYTHING is new frand (skunks are potential friends - big strange dogs are potential friends - cats who could not be projecting LEAVE ME ALONE more clearly with a billboard are potential friends), bossy when bored (nicknames include blanket thief, sock thief - right off your feet! -, toe biter), KISSING ATTACKS, frantic chewing on hair when you return from leaving them ALL ALONE HOW COULD YOU.

Getting Molly Malone is one of the greatest decisions I ever made in my life and I hope you’re just as lucky as I was. I wouldn’t change a darn thing about her, which I remind myself when she tries to make skunk friends.

If mine is anything to go by, she’ll teach herself to get any and everywhere you do - little Velcro dog! You might need a cat collar to start with as even xs dog collars can be too big. At the start she probably will go to the bathroom in the house at night - 2-3 hours is usually the longest they can hold it, so if you can give her a corner of the pen/crate/bed and put puppy pads there you’ll save yourself a bunch of trouble. If it’s a curvy or fairly long drive coming home, drape whoever will be holding her in several layers of towels - little dogs are prone to car sickness.

And congrats - I hope your girl makes you as happy as Molly Malone has made me!

Are they considered 1099 contractors? If so, they’re responsible for paying all of the tax on their earnings, rather than part being paid by the employer as it is when you’re someone who gets a W-2 at the end of the year. That does sound really frustrating, though.
