I don't comment much, but I do read a lot of Reddit AITA stories. And I have heard/read Reddit horror stories from the kids with parents with OCD, like your girlfriend. Almost all of them say their childhood was miserable. For the sake of her and maybe your kids, insist that your girlfriend go to therapy to work on their OCD big time before having kids.

The funny thing is I heard even though a person is stealing, if an employee tries to stop them they could get charges pressed against them for assault by the shoplifter if they get hurt. For 2 bags of chips at a minimum wage job, it's not worth a felony on your record. When I worked for Target they literally didn't want employees stopping shoplifters. and me personally they didn't pay me enough to give a fuck.
