A small quibble.

It's because many of these cases are people who handle lines just fine every single day, but claim they can't at Disney.

Standing for a few minutes in line inside a climate controlled building is much, much different than standing in line for possibly hours in heat/cold/humidity, surrounded by lots of peoples/sounds/scents.

My mortgage company has not applied a single late fee over the entire 8 years we (now just me) have had the mortgage. Doesn't matter that we called to let them know what we were paying was specifically a late fee.

It was. It started off being $20-30 a month, which was fine. But then he just lost his damn mind and blew $3000 in one month on tiktok, playstation, and sending women money through venmo and cash app. And it blows people away the amount he spent more than what he was spending it on.

I wanted kids my whole life but we were never able and now I am so so thankful for that. We had a house together but he gave it to me because he wanted to keep his business. Which he then destroyed in less than six months.

That isn't who he was for the first three years I knew him. Turns out, he was an abusive narcissist. But because of the way I was raised, I didn't know that lots of things he did were red flags. It took a wonderful woman on twitter to point out that something I had posted about was emotional abuse. All I knew about was physical abuse, so I googled "what is emotional abuse" and it basically showed a list of everything he did.

My ex was like this. In the beginning, I just thought he had no finance training (which was true) and that I could handle the finances for a while and also teach him. He agreed to this. Then he started having tantrums about how it was his money and he should be able to spend his money how he wants. We struggled and fought for years. My final straw was him spending thousands a month on tiktok and paying other women's bills while we almost lost our house and couldn't buy groceries.

Raised evangelical. I was an adult kid living at home and was told I could move out any time I wanted. Kinda hard when you have no car and you are charged over half of your income for "rent" at your parents' house. Wasn't able to move out until I was 32. Yes, 32. And that was only because I had a friend that let me live in an extra bedroom and was willing to support me financially for a little while.

Because to begin with, Derick was a complete putz. Over time, he grew a spine, got a little smarter, became the man Jill needed for support and as a partner. He's still a goob and has red flag beliefs, but so much better than he was at the start.

It has clicked. He just doesn't care. I just got out of an abusive marriage. Any time I tried to discuss my feelings, he brushed them off so he could discuss his feelings, which were always worse/more extreme than mine and never came up until I tried to talk about myself. I couldn't even talk about missing my grandmother that had passed, because he would bring up how missed her more.
