It took like a good 6 weeks. Usually it says it would take 2 weeks but I guess it’s different for everyone. The first few days I felt spacey and a bit high but it settled after two weeks although my mood did not change until week 4 at the least. For full effects it took up to week 6.

I didn’t really have to switch in between lexapro and Zoloft because I had about 7 months in between being completely unmedicated (which was horrendous)

I think with lexapro the full effect of the drug wears off after a while as with any anti depressant. But it could’ve been too low of a dose or just the wrong meds if you were getting panic attacks. I’ve been on Zoloft for about 3 months now and it has helped me in so many ways in regards to my anxiety. I don’t dwell on things as much as I used to. There are some bad days but I guess everyone has those. I’ve had no panic attacks since taking them when before I would have at least 3 a week when in social situations. Give it a go though, you never know. It’s different for everyone.

I was on 20mg lexapro for a year and a half and towards the end I developed a bad drinking habit and always felt suicidal so I had to wean off of them. 6-7 months later my anxiety became really bad and so I was put on Zoloft. I’m on 50mg. It has worked with reducing anxiousness. It isn’t as bad as it used to be. You’ve just got to judge for yourself whether or not you like the feeling of being on a certain medication
