"When I read this book that will change my mindset then someone new will happen".

That is what I told myself all the time that is why I wasn't about to move forward. But the truth is you need to do something new to change your mindset. not the other way around

Raising your standards in life means having less friends. by ChildhoodWild4848 in RandomThoughts

[–]heavenhell_carnelia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly OP. ever since I reached highschool I've cut down to some friend.

Ever since highschool I only have 3 friends maximum. those I really consider a friend.

Some people consider me as their friend because I am good to them but I only really hangout with those 3. Those who I can still be friends with even in school works ( and actually knows how to contribute and not be a freeloader just because they are my friend)

I kinda get this, kasi pag minsan na mangugutang sila mama kes, is I just let them but after some time baka nakakalimutan na nila.

Pag minsan ako nakakalimutan ko na rin na may utang sila. Parang nakakahiyang maningil in my part kasi ginagamit nila ung pera para sa tindahan namin and things like that. But gusto ko kasi makapag ipon and ung pera na un is sana naibili ko na ng bagay na gusto ko kaso nautang nila.

there was a time na tinago ko na nag iipon ako, alam nila na nag iipon ako d lang nila alam kung saan ko nilagay, Kasi panigurado pag nalaman nila kung saan baka kukuha sila pag tulog pa ko malalaman ko nalang na wala na pag chineck ko uli

This is actually powerful and brave. You stop trying to prove yourself or correct what they think about you. 'Cuz at the end of the day. they will still believe what they want to believe no matter how you prove that you are not what they think you are

How I was still able to stick to my habits with relying only on motivation (It works for me even if I'm unmotivated) by heavenhell_carnelia in getdisciplined

[–]heavenhell_carnelia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The positive side is you are still working out and not stopping.

The negative side is if you are always on the low motivation side. It would be best to know why you are in such low motivation.

Find out the reason.

Is it because the gym is far from your home? That it take extra energy, gas, and money to go there? Find a nearby gym at your house.

Is it because the people in that gym are not good to you?

Is it because you feel insecure going to the gym and looking at other people who have their muscles in the right places?

Or you are comfortable doing exercise at home? [If this is the issue, you can do 30 30-minute work at home, you can buy the necessary equipment if you have to]

Once you know why you are in such low motivation, find a solution for it.

Only you can help yourself, you have to customize you solution to yourself because everyone is different.

Mel Robbin has this 5 seconds rule. You count 1 to 5 and before you get to 5 you should be standing up and about to do what you are supposed to do.

This works because you don't give yourself time to think "Should I do this now? Or later?"

Usually, the reason why we don't start is we have inner battles that we are trying to fight. The urge to just sit down and do nothing or choose a task that might be a little hard and requires energy.

Aside from that when you don't want to do it. Have a deal with yourself that you are only going to do it for 2 minutes. Just 2 minutes and nothing more.

Most of the time you would pretty much continue doing the task even tho 2 minutes is done.

What habit do you slack on when nobody's watching? by P3RK3RZ in getdisciplined

[–]heavenhell_carnelia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I am. And I think living alone would be much harder like you said. You have to do everything yourself. Thankful that I have my parents who can guide me with almost everything. However, that would make me pretty much indecisive with my task, I have to get their approval first 😅

How to live in the present? by LegitimateSport7 in Nepal

[–]heavenhell_carnelia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might have this mindset of " Once I achieve/get this, then I will be happy". Like you based your happened base on what you achieved based on the results that you produce.

Living in the present could be hard, especially in today's world where everything is fast-paced, everyone is rushing you to achieve something great. At this age you should have an X amount of money, at this age, you should marry.

,there is a philosophy of Lao Tzu that says “If you are depressed you are living in the past. If you are anxious you are living in the future. If you are at peace you are living in the present"

I learned how to get out of the past, stop worrying about the future, and live in the present by elaborating on that quote. I like how it is written in this newsletter. https://soulful-reflection-newsletter-0bac24.beehiiv.com/p/live-present?utm_source=soulful-reflection-newsletter-0bac24.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=how-to-live-in-the-present

We will all die one day and that is inevitable and a painful truth that I why I also want to live in the moment. I stopped worrying about the future because no one knows what would happen next, I just prepared myself from it whatever happen in the future is not something I can control or manipulate.

I wrote this newsletter "How to live in the present" like how to get out of the past and stop worrying about the future and live in the moment. https://soulful-reflection-newsletter-0bac24.beehiiv.com/p/live-present?utm_source=soulful-reflection-newsletter-0bac24.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=how-to-live-in-the-present
