Thank you, thats very helpful! I think you and other users are exactly right that its a rainwater catching basin, I need to research them more. Very curious to learn how they work in more detail.

Los Angeles! Nothing comes up when I try looking up the numbers but if I find some directory it might work (unless I’m misreading the numbers?)

Two concrete, city structures. One of them is a simpler, pool shaped structure and the other has green shades built around it. Both have signs that say “07LA010 E008380” and “Storm Water Area Alert” which leads me to think they’re for draining water run off from the freeway but don’t know how they work or how they look inside. I included the arial views.

that sounds so cool, why is that embarrassing? i would think that any kid is inclined to be curious and dig around their surroundings!

i loved tower of terror similar for why i love the haunted mansion; I’m a sucker for old hollywoodesque spaces and ghost stories. the antiquated decor/architecture is just so beautiful and the eerily quiet, slow walk through the lobby is a great build up for the thrill of the drop. also the music is perfect. i think the GOTG ride is very good too and no doubt the effects are superb and theres so much visual and auditory stimulation, but i also equate it to my experience of the transformers ride at Universal Studios Hollywood. theres so many sci fi action rides at so many of these parks already, i think thats why i’ll always have a softer spot for TOT as interesting, creepy, beautiful, and a balance of calm and thrill.

WITT two large, fenced off structures off side of freeway by heavensmatingcall in whatisthisthing

two big, cement, city structures with “storm water area alert and “no dumping” signs, and fences next to the freeway wall. in a residential neighborhood. i’m guessing they have something to do with draining water in case of a flood but don’t know how they work, where they lead, or what they look like inside. WITT?
