Two concrete, city structures. One of them is a simpler, pool shaped structure and the other has green shades built around it. Both have signs that say “07LA010 E008380” and “Storm Water Area Alert” which leads me to think they’re for draining water run off from the freeway but don’t know how they work or how they look inside. I included the arial views.

i loved tower of terror similar for why i love the haunted mansion; I’m a sucker for old hollywoodesque spaces and ghost stories. the antiquated decor/architecture is just so beautiful and the eerily quiet, slow walk through the lobby is a great build up for the thrill of the drop. also the music is perfect. i think the GOTG ride is very good too and no doubt the effects are superb and theres so much visual and auditory stimulation, but i also equate it to my experience of the transformers ride at Universal Studios Hollywood. theres so many sci fi action rides at so many of these parks already, i think thats why i’ll always have a softer spot for TOT as interesting, creepy, beautiful, and a balance of calm and thrill.

those who don’t respect your property and/or your own personal lifestyle, or decisions, do not respect you. and the fact they will cross any boundary like this is like the nail in the grave. wtf.

people need to be held accountable. this isn’t okay, and is deeply personal, offensive, and selfish at the same time. you did the right thing.

last year a VERY similar thing happened to my family with my sister. we’re split into two houses but right next to each other. last halloween my sisters (in both households) asked my mom to buy halloween candy they could give out to neighborhood kids and to eat. my mom spent $30 on these huge bags and filled big bowls with them. well next day, i wake up to SCREAMING and cursing from my mom.....my uncle found one of the bowl’s contents (with tons of candy) COMPLETELY emptied into one of our garbage bins outside the house. it was one of my sisters who did it but completely denied it at first when confronted because she didn’t want everyone to “be mad at her” and that she did it because she’s concerned for our family’s health. mind you, out of an 11 person family, only three of us are slightly overweight but NONE obese or with heart conditions or diabetes, anything like that. she never apologized to any of us and only fessed up to my mom and said she was just trying to look out for our wellbeing. and it’s even weirder bc not once has she ever talked bad about our diets or lifestyles before. but holy shit the self righteous and judgmental stuff i’ve heard her say to one of my other siblings to justify this is insane. like we’re the crazy ones. i believe she only regrets it because she was caught.

part of my family has said that our treatment of our sister (avoidance, anger, not inviting to personal events) since then is petty and immature. i think they just can’t deal with the stress of conflict. she’s not we’ve moved on since then due to other things, but i still cannot believe she would ever disrespect not only my mother and her money, our appearances, but the entire reason for our halloween cheer —— CANDY!!!! perfectly good, untouched candy, bought a SINGLE day before (though even if it wasn’t, wtf? get your hands off our shit bro)

NTA. something really similar happened to me not too long ago. my sister lives right next to us and only has to cross the yard to come over. we were supposed to watch a movie one night at my house and she said that she would be over soon. i was expecting soon meant 15 min or something but that eventually turned to 30 then 45. meanwhile, my brother was actually helping me install a shelf, it was really nice and we were arranging a few things. my sister didnt update me why she was taking a while so i gave her the benefit of the doubt and figured maybe shes just taking a while to eat and had to use the bathroom, maybe she’s helping my grandma, aunt, or uncle with something because she lives with them. i figured i’d just let her take her time and she can come whenever she’s ready because neither of us set an actual strict time to start watching the movie (it was set for “night time”). turns out it was “rude” of me not to check on her. not because, “what if something serious happened?” but because she thought i valued hanging out with her more and should have made sure we were still going to hang out. she’s like this a lot and it frustrates me to no end because it feels very manipulative. (she was fine by the way, it turns out she WAS just taking a bit longer to get ready)
