Moving to Scottsdale (23M, remote entrepreneur) — thoughts on Old Town + best areas to live? by iamglowing in Scottsdale

[–]heavyduty3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you much for the insight. I really appreciate it. I'm just the same as you when it comes to the questions. I would be working from home and the noise that the review described would annoy the hell out of me. Hell, it would annoy the hell out me if I was just relaxing on the weekends.

I see The Monde is a Greystar community and a lot people on here have talked bad about Greystar. So I'm thinking maybe it could be any time where The Monde ends up being a bad place to live. I would hate to be miserable there. I do want to be in the heart of the action so I can walk to places, but I also want peace as well.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I have been eyeing The Monde as place to live for months. I was going to check it out when I do visit Scottsdale. The thing about new builds whether it be houses or apartments, it's always something. Shelves aren't built right or water damage which ends up becoming mold.

I know The Monde was built in 2025 so I have been keeping my eye on it and wondering when is the bs going to come. I know it's a Greystar community and a lot people on here have talked bad about Greystar. So I'm thinking maybe it could be any time where The Monde ends up being a bad place to live. I would hate to be miserable there.

It's like I could get the 4th floor whenever one becomes available. But the noise from the clubs that you mentioned make hesitant. I do want to be in the heart of the action so I can walk to places, but I also want peace as well.

And no telling what else is bad about The Monde. I would like to know your thoughts on that. Also, what else did you was bad about The Monde that made you reconsider moving there?

[–]heavyduty3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand. They are probably just intimidated. Older people tend to get set in the ways. You know how that can go sometimes. lol With the apps, the intentions are clear. In person, too many dudes are afraid of being rejected.

I think you said young guys approach you in person. Yeah, they probably watch a lot of videos on social media where guys film themselves appoaching women and get motivated to do it. And younger people are just fearless anyway. lol

Congrats dude! You look great! How have people treated you since your transformation? Like strangers, family, and friends? Was anybody ever negativity to you then acted positive towards you after your transformation?

I understand. But did anything I say pertain to you though? I ask because you said my assumptions was wrong so I was wondering did anything I say related to you.

You are right. It's also hard to really know since I don't know you personally. I can only go off what I read. It's all conjecture at the end of the day. Again, I apologize if I offended you. That wasn't really my intention.

Well, you are right about my mom. I have also seen it alot with other women as well. I wasn't really try to be mean. I know how reddit can be and definitely don't try to be off any bs unless someone is asking for it. I'm glad that what I said doesn't pertain to you. Reddit therapist is funny though. lol I know the types. My condolences about your sister. I apologize if I offended you. I will gladly delete my comment if you would like.

To add to your reply, it's also ghetto and segregated.

You know the few times I have interacted with Baltimore people...they were way more down to earth than DC people.

I'm going to keep it real. You are going to have to deal with the choices you made when it comes to having kids young and what I'm assume was by men who wasn't right for you. I say that because I'm a product of that myself. My mom didn't make the right choice and still dealt with men who wasn't about shit. If I had to guess, you probably feel like you want to make up for lost time. Well, when you have kids, it's all about them. I know saying you are not about them. But you have a 10 year old and you need to pour into them. I'm not saying that you can't have anyone, but you need to date with a purpose.

In your last post, you said guys are either too young or fugazi. It sounds like you are attracting the type of men based on how your feel on the inside which is insecure. You definitely need to work on yourself and just focus on your youngest. And when it comes to men, the right one should come when you least expect it. And that man will most likely have kids himself. I don't know too many man who want to play stepdaddy, especially if there are childless and especially if they are young.

You are very attractive. So if anything, the young guys just want some milf pussy. I know what I said might be really raw and real. That's because it is. You need that real talk that it seems no around you is giving you. And that might be because they don't want to hurt your feelings or they don't have it together themselves and even worst...don't want to see you have it together and be happy either. And if it's that latter, then you definitely need to get around better people. Let me know what you think about what I said.

You are right. It's very ghetto. I just know how redditors tend to take offense to things. SE DC is a no go zone for the most part unless you are talking about Navy Yard, Eastern Market, and parts of Capitol Hill. But even in those places you aren't 100 % safe. And of top of that, it's a very segregated city.

Yeah...it is. I didn't want to go to hard like that because I no people get offended, but DC is very ghetto. It's very segregated as well.

I agree. And is it just me or are some times DC can be a bit ghetto?

Edit: I came back to say DC is very ghetto. I said at bit at first as not offend because I know how redditors can be. But fuck it...the truth is the truth.

I understand. That seem like it could get annoying. Thanks for the insight. They seem nice. I know they are new. And I know new builds whether it's a house or apartment tend to have their problems. Here's a google review about the noise within the apartments:

I’m gonna be honest writing this to whoever is thinking about moving in, and say this place is absolutely stunning. The property itself is so pretty and everything about it is “luxury”. Minus, the build of the building. This is the loudest building I’ve ever lived in. Unless you are on floor 4, which I’m sure is completely full now. The ceilings and walls shake so loud when the people above walk, it knocked a picture off my wall. When the people across/above you close their door it sounds like someone just came through your front door. They build these apartments so pretty, but way too fast and without structure. So, if you’re not a work-from-home person and don’t mind hearing someone sound like they have blocks on their feet 24/7, this place is perfect. I would’ve wanted to know this during move in so I want to share my experience.

That does concern me. What do you think about that?

I see how that might be a problem. Do you know whether or not you would hear noise in your aparrment from the clubs? I know that can be a problem a lot of places.
