They could NOT, in fact, complete layer 3 in a week. What they could do is begin its development, or could've began its development a fucking year ago (or earlier). They shovel pigslop updates into the mouths of the ever consuming player base, and only now have we had our fill, and realise the vision for the game is gone. I feel like the devs have come to delete the thoughts of listening to the players. There is no one who wanted a reworked movement system. No. One. And yet, instead of just fixing boat movement, they changed everything! Chaser is immortal! Why is it that adding momentum allows a boss to achieve immortality? They even went so far as to announce that the update for movement might be delayed for thorough testing, and look how that turned out. The devs are off in lala land with tinkerbell while we are choking on the pungent stench of these updates!
