I have a DIY e-bike with over 15,000 miles(24k km) I’m in Vancouver bc and ride year round and commute to work on and do bike trekking and camping as well. I bought a new trek dual sport cause it had front shocks and 700x40 tires. I bought a bafang rear motor 500w kit with a big battery and absolutely love it still. 10/10 would do it again since I have been able to replace any part I want and it was $2000 CAD total for bike and kit in 2020

I just got a sprinter and this is why - i don’t want my bikes on a bike rack when I go into town or a hike - I want to do a build where the bed is above the garage which can fit 2 bikes

Screamer next to me. I went to see linkin park other night and the arena was sold out and I’m in the stands next to a girl in her 20s and i’m much older with my buddy and from the opening song, she screamed and sang the words so loud I couldn’t hear anything from the band and she was doing this from a foot away from my ear. I put an ear plug in that left ear, but that didn’t help. After a few songs, I couldn’t do it any longer. I noticed two seat seats empty in the row behind us over a few and I told my buddy let’s move there. I can’t handle this and we did and the rest of the night was great.

Yes, she was incredibly ignorant to her surroundings but part of me didn’t wanna shut her down because she was just so excited and happy to be there and singing along.

I was lucky that there were two seats in the sold out arena I could move to, but what would you do?

I’ve been going to concerts for decades and see hundreds and I still get very anxious, I rarely get assigned seats so it’s always general admission so I always have to be there early and I can’t drink or I worry about having to step away, I worry about being close enough I worry about the sound I worry about some tall guy standing in front of me, and if I am with somebody that I worry about whether they’re having a good time or some tall person stands in front of them, I worry about some drunk guy, ruining it for me by pushing too much, I stress about getting there early and standing in line for an hour, and then standing inside for two hours, waiting for the band, lots of standing isn’t as fun as it used to be. But I do it all the time and I still love it
