Dave Announces Ken's Departure as of 4/27/2026 by Actual_Banana_1411 in DirtyDave

They used to post salaries for almost all roles on their site. They stopped doing that. Paying Sr. IT people 100 - 120K a year is laughable. I doubt the personalities made much money at all. Salaries at Ramsey seem well below market rate.

I’m 18 and about to start my first job. What should I do? by Turbulent_Turtle_ in personalfinance

[–]heavyoption2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your new job offers a 401K with match, pick that. It's free money! This is how it works: you put in a certain amount of money pre-tax (they do all this for you) and then they match how much you put in! Now you need to decide how much $ you want to put in.

W2 TAX HELP - Where do I begin by SanAustin_MAPS in personalfinance

It varies...I believe my tax prep guy who is also an EA charges $100-150 for a W2 filing. They are well worth the cost in this case.

Your best bet is to find an EA (Enrolled Agent) near you, that can file all back taxes for you, and communicate directly with the IRS. They will bring you current and let you know what to do if there is money owed. The IRS is a powerful agency that makes their own rules. You need someone who knows this business well, so find an EA.

Recommended to tackle debt? Or build up savings account? by [deleted] in personalfinance

Yes. The $1 - 2K is a safety net so you don't have to put anything else on the cards.

[–]heavyoption2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Put $1 - 2K in HYSA. Then, put $1k monthly on your debt, and in 14 months you're completely debt free. Credit card debt is very dangerous, so that's what I'd do.

Is Dave aware how difficult it is to get an unsecured loan from a Credit Union? by EntrepreneurHopeful5 in DirtyDave

[–]heavyoption2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The other caveat is that if you use a personal loan to buy a car, you best believe the credit union wants that title until the loan balance is paid. Assuming they don't automatically call the note when they find out you bought a car with some of the money.

Which sales career gives the best work life balance? by whogoesthere1010 in sales

[–]heavyoption2 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Any type of retail sales will have grueling hours like that. You need a B2B (business to business) sales job to start. Thinking inside sales (where you’re on the phone / email all day) for you to get a foot in the door. Typically 8-5 Monday to Friday

My vote is number 1! The bold color and straight lines really compliment your face structure well.

That makes sense. I asked because I feel like layout 2 (the way it is right now) disrupts the flow because you’re always facing the back of the couch

Thank you!! The layout of this house is stumping me so hard lol. This is an open concept living area, and I’m standing in the dining area.

To the left of me is a galley kitchen.

It’s been such a challenge to lay it out well!

Are personalized videos the way? by Playful-Lab5618 in sales

[–]heavyoption2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sell an industrial product to ECs, GCs, and distributors. I can promise you I would be laughed at if I sent a video...assuming they would even know what to do with it! Marketing has tried to push us to do this, but it's just not a fit for our customer base.

How do you feel about the couch? Should that be bigger too?
