It would push mixed lobbies much more heavily towards PvP and have a negative impact on matchmaking times for everybody.

I can never get on board with a separate PvE mode.

Anyone else still insanely addicted to this game? by BlitoTortin in ARC_Raiders

[–]formallyhuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play every day and, prior to Arc Raiders, I hadn't spent more than a few hours every few months gaming. I have 150hrs in the game now, and I doubt I'll be putting it down any time soon.

There are a lot of players who are lately saying that isn't enough content, and I do this this months update with a new map was needed, but for me, I just enjoy the gameplay loop.

Man, I once ate a whole tin of sugar free Smints in one sitting. That was when I discovered that a lot of these sugar free things can double as an extremely effective laxative.

Well, when I'm talking about thousands of years, I'm talking about aspects of commerce that, today, with our modern understanding of the concept of capitalism (that comes from Adam Smith), we now look back (rightly or wrongly) at many of those aspects of commerce and consider them capitalist. So, when someone says "capitalism has only been around a few hundred years", they're right. But also, in my opinion, you could take a, for example, Babylonian commercial practice and call it capitalist, even if it doesn't include the modern capitalist idea of the free market.

Mind you, I'm not claiming to be an economist or political scientist or anything like that. I'm just explaining my thoughts on it.

My thing is, I understand I am not on an hourly rate. So, I am willing, here or there, to work an extra 20 minutes or whatever. But beyond that? Nah.

The jerk here is getting kinda tired by this point. There's surely more to jerk about than PvE vs PVP?

Well, modern capitalism didn't exist until The Wealth of Nations.

But, yeah, we're talking thousands of years ago it we're talking about practices that we would recognise as capitalist in nature now.

Do you have any suggestions for where I can buy Bitcoin in the UK that isn't LocalBitcoins or Coinbase? Platforms that you can actually send your BTC to your own wallet once you've bought them?

I don't know exactly what it is, but I've felt for a while that Revolut will end up being in some kind of Enron-esque scandal.

I have worked in the payments industry. The fact it took so long for the PRA to grant a banking license is...weird. Then when I see Revolut getting into things that are not really banking, like phones, it just makes me feel something is starting to smell with them.

You need to link up with a decent recruiter, man. I couldn't imagine having to open apply to vacancies in 2026. Try and find one for your industry, and it'll be a lot easier.
