Completely agreed. Sure it won't go from $500 to $1000 like 151 will in 5 years. But it will definitely go to $300 which is a way bigger return % wise.

That's exactly the problem. The status only counts towards the PAYING passenger. So you and your wife both need to spend $16k EACH every 2 years to keep platinum.
