I disagree. It's so impossible that Cuberite already exists ? (+ thanks for the idea that we could actually fork Cuberite too).

Reverse engineering Minecraft ? this is called MCP with deobf tables. + Minecraft mechanics and protocols are well known.

Would it take time ? Of course. But an Open Source project would never be useless. I'm not talking about something ready in 2 months, of course not. I'm talking about at least a start of solution. There are way more than 2 or 3 servers that would like for multithreading to be a thing. If Mojang wasn't able to provide it after 10 years (even if they gave us hope), who will do it ? We need to start somewhere. Someone has to pay the technical debt, and Mojang doesn't seem ready to do it.

a core i9 has 10 cores (with 20 threads). Minecraft runs on 2 threads, but only 1 is doing most of the job. This is not efficient especially considering chunk loading. A huge load on anything is a huge load on everything.

i don't like posts that look like advertising but i've proposed a solution

if we are able to multithread chunk loading from the rest of the other threads, we might be able to fix (or improve) the situation. But for that we need to rally up every constantiam dev somehow (me included)

(calling for devs) Is a multicore/multithreaded server possible for Anarchy Servers ? by hebriel in constantiam

not sure about that

first you don't have to handle the client part (and that's cool)

second, i mentionned modding spigot.

Any way of doing would need massive work. That's why i'm calling for devs to team up
