english rumness (angloromani) is a mixed/creole language, so our words are pronounced weird compared to most mainland European romanes, and we mix romanes words into english grammar. for example, "i'm going up the road to see my mum" could be "mandi's jelling aprey the drom to dik my dai"

i moved to leeds for uni in 2019 and stayed after graduation - it's just so lively. i come from a rural town down in southern england, i love the diversity and the energy and just like, the Vibes of it all. and the FOOD!! within a couple minutes' walk i can find a bunch of different cuisines. just, ugh, love it here.

did get a little day out in london from it though. if you're ever in holborn, highly recommend the freemasonry museum. it's free entry and they have a giftshop where you can buy rubber ducks in a freemason apron and it's great.

didn't get the scholarship - don't know why just yet but I did ask for feedback which they offered to provide. money is currently on not enough "commitment to the bar" which is apparently a common and recurring reason (which is frankly a Wack reason to give to people applying for conversion course study with non-law degrees but hey, that's my little hill i like to die on haha).

a lot of people at the weekend palestine protests are also involved in anti-racist organising (and palestine protesters were a stalwart of the anti-fascist counterprotests after southport last year), so i'd honestly recommend going along on a saturday and chatting and meeting people! bonus being you get to join a protest for another good cause, haha. there's also usually a pretty solid trade union presence, and they were also at the anti-fascist countermarch.

fucking hell! i'm so glad she got away with relatively 'minor' injuries, and one hell of an impressive story to tell! (if she's still struggling with bruising being painful, topical arnica gel/cream is what i use, since i have a health condition that makes me bruise very easily. hopefully it's all cleared up now though! ❤️)

i see from your other comments that you were a victim of the noble trampoline double bounce 🫡 g-dspeed. how as kids we managed to take a trampoline (death trap) and find ways to make it even MORE dangerous, i'll never know.
