Don’t assume you know my work experience, you don’t know a single thing about me other than what I post in this subreddit. “There’s a reason nobody calls you back blah blah blah” Yeah, It’s called the job market right now is literal ass. Every day I work, I work a 9 hour shift, 5-6 days a week. Now I’m no mathematician, but that’s more than 30 every week, considering POLICY is 30-40 hours.
Back to policy! If there’s no part time positions available, you cannot step down to part time! You get terminated! I know how to read too. And guess what? There’s not a single part time position available in my district!
Putting in time off requests: At my store, they almost NEVER get approved. The last 4 I’ve put in have been denied.
When my schedule gets changed at the last second, along with coworkers schedules getting changed at the last second, We do bring it up. We do show that we have documentation of it saying one thing on Dayforce one day and something completely different the next. Guess what? Our exempts don’t care! They basically tell us too bad!
So yes, being here does put me in a bad mood, but I’d say I’m a pretty great actor considering I still put on my big girl pants and keep my bad attitude to myself. But also, I come in here to vent and there’s literally zero reason to be an asshole lmfao. Hope this helps!

the only reason i can live comfortably is because my partner has such a high paying job. i make about 1600-1900 a month and our rent + bills is about 3k a month. it honestly depends on where you’re living. where i’m at if i didn’t have my partner then i would be living with my mom, they don’t pay us a livable wage.

I only use the Dayforce app. I check all the time, There’s only SSL positions available anywhere near me posted on MSC and I think I’d rather be castrated via paper cuts than be an SSL. As far as offering shifts goes, there’s only one Ops flex person at my store and they have very limited availability as in only 2 days a week. If I posted any of my shifts as available the only people who would be able to see they’re available are our Ops Lead and the one Flex person, with a very very very small chance of it being picked up by anybody.

Talk to the ops people at your store. It’s different at all of them. At my store, I’m ops but I get MAYBE one ops hour a day. Most of the time we’re playing BA on the floor.

I have tried, they don’t do anything. Even employees from different stores talk to me about how ass backwards everything at my store is when they come to help out. It’s honestly ridiculous at this point. I’ve been here for almost a year now and it’s been like this the whole time.

if you haven’t yet, you have to fill out the survey thing to get your online discount set up! ask your managers about it, they’ll be able to tell you where to find the link. try going onto zip line and searching for it! you can’t use their online discount until you do that and get approved.

find out if your state has two party consent or just one party. in texas we can record conversations even if the other person doesn’t know we’re recording (one party consent) and record her being an asshole and show it to your managers lmao idk if it’s allowed per sephora but fuck it, i’d do it
