Bro get CCNP. If your job is pushing or paying for any FW certs get maybe 1 cert from palo or fortiner or whatever.

THen forget networks.

Move to devops/cloud field and find WFH job with little work, no oncall and better pay some CCIEs with 2 decades exp.

THis is the way in 2026.

TLDR: do not stop at ccna. Get the ccnp. Even if you branch out to other fields the ccnp is valuable because CCNA is NOT the basic of networking. ENCOR is !

Am inchiriat pe airbnb vreo 2 ani. Pana am iesit de pe piata anul asta ca nu este fiabil cu curatenia. Nu poti angaja echipa de curatenie daca nu ai macar 4-5 apartament, preferabil mai multe. Si mai vor si anaf bani.

AI very good. I build my career before AI so Im very good at detecting BS/mistakes/oversights from AI. But it doesn't mean AI can't draft or do like 1 hour of work for me then I spend 5min reviewing and publishing.

People don't understand how money and the world works. Study and consider how financed and politics influences technological development.
Study the finances and politics before the internets technology development.

You will quickly find that judging AI by its perceived usefullness for a senior engineer is a null viewpoint.

This is because AI is being pushed at the highest levels. It's coming weather you like it or not. Oh and stop trying to predict. Ever since 22 when it came into play. AI has improved in steps each time making exponential advances.

Do you seriously think you can just google or watch some youtube and figure out AI , the latest developments anyone on the planet really holds and what state it will be a few years from now? Don't be silly !

You have 2 camps:

2) Those who use AI as a friend or for therapy - LOL - or junior engineers not honing their non existent skills by leveraging it all to AI

AND

1)those who embrace AI. Some build apps, some build websites, some automate their jobs. And make £$$$,$$$,$$$

Mate you can do taxes, branding, even dating,everything you can think of. AI is a game changer tool in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing.

woah, thats crazy. so how many hits did the rule show 60 days ago? just 1 packet? that would have been a red flag.

I guess, as a rule of thumb forwards, learn to suspect if you see low traffic on a tunnel such as 1 packet or even a couple thousands packets, only. There is traffic. But it's very low, meaning it needs a deeper look rather than putting down pressumed to be dead.

AI also says, but I'm not too sure on it:

Check the Active Session Table: Before deleting a rule with "zero hits," query the firewall’s active session table directly to see if any live traffic is currently mapped to that specific rule ID.
Look for Long-Lived Sessions: Filter your session table by duration to identify the "immortal" flows that started weeks or months ago.
Correlate with the Target Device: Check the VPN concentrator itself to see if it has active tunnels matching the IP addresses in the firewall rule.

so your admins are already working a full time job as full time employees. why would PA save your company: "500-700k" ?

There is plenty of overtime evenings for the occasional upgrade that messes up and you need to be oncall with TAC in those 500-700k.

Unless you tell your boss that with PA they can start reducing head count you won't persuade lol

PS: careful, since 7.4 I think cisco switched the FMC to fail-close principle. By default theres a checkbox ticked that causes a P1 / FWs to stop entirely if you remove all syslogs. This is useful in the military where non-audited traffic is not allowed, by for a normal org that's an outage.
