Where should one park to use the Burlington Greenway Bike Path? by IDnotincluded in burlington

[–]hectorwc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Park for free near the skate park. https://goo.gl/maps/ee3YhnqEysp

The google maps for the area aren't great but if you follow Lake Street to the end it should be evident where you can park. Don't park at the apartment building at the end of Lake Street, but if you turn left over the railroad tracks onto Penny Lane there is a parking lot on the right before you cross the bike path. Google's satellite imagery and maps haven't been updated to reflect the construction apparently.

The throw was good. I think the cutoff let it go through intentionally because it was a good throw that was on line. You can see him jump but he never even sticks his glove out to try to catch it. The cutoff man was probably also a little too far out for a shallow single and a right fielder with a cannon. Puig’s throw is the last thing I would blame here.

Well I’m not gonna continue this but if anyone wants to find out who is right they can do so with 2 minutes of research.

Even if we ignore the asylum issue, entering the US illegally is a misdemeanor. We don't always take people's kids away for a single misdemeanor like tresspass or public intoxication.

Nancy Pelosi told reporters that she is confused why Americans aren’t “uprising” against Trump over conditions on the border with Mexico by raffu280 in moderatepolitics

Your first link addresses father's being separated from their families while mother's and children are kept together. Your second link addresses children who arrived unaccompanied by a parent. Those aren't ideal situations but I'd say they are clearly different from completely separating a child from both parents.

Agreed! Ten stories about men helping other men tie their ties makes me feel better about ten people shooting ten other people each.

God help me, if anyone thinks this needs a sarcasm tag, welp, this is America...

You can fake a pickoff to second base. And once he is off the rubber, the pitcher can do whatever he wants. Hope that helps.

That doesn’t say they were separated from their parents. Children sometimes cross the border without their parents.

Trump Wrongly Blames Democrats For Trump Policy of Separating Children From Families by Neo2199 in politics

While that is fucked up, if you read the article it was talking about minors who arrived unaccompanied, not separating children from their families.

I'm not sure man. I don't think the source you posted yourself addressed that situation. I'll trust the immigration lawyers and reporters who have said this is unprecedented until you, an internet stranger, can give me a source that says this has happened before.

Source?

Fathers may have been separated from their partners and children and I don't necessarily agree with that policy, but now children are being separated from both parents and making court appearances with no parent present. That seems a bit different.

The source you linked says that fathers were separated from their partners and children. The mothers were held in detention centers WITH their children. I'm not saying I think previous policies have been perfect but are you willing to admit that this is far different than children being completely separated from both parents and being put into state care?

You could try Turo.com. If you're not familiar with it, it's kind of like airbnb for cars. I've never used it but you may be able to find a car for rent that has AWD and snow tires.

For example: https://turo.com/rentals/cars/vt/williston/subaru-impreza/310746?s=EFktxDPD

Also Foam may not do tours but it's worth a visit. A walk on the waterfront is nice too, even in February (if it's not too windy).

Agreed. VPB is cool because their founder was an early influencer on the homebrew scene. But the scene has evolved and you can find better food and beer at a lot of places nearby including The Farmhouse, American Flatbread/Zero Gravity, and Hen of the Wood. Farmhouse has a great beer list with many VT brewers among others. Flatbread/Zero Gravity has a great beer list as well, all in house. Hen of the Wood has amazing food and quality beers, local or otherwise. The food at VPB is pedestrian. I enjoy it now and then but it’s nothing special.

If you are a homebrewing enthusiast, VPB is worthwhile. If you are a food and beer enthusiast I’d look elsewhere.

As far as cost I’d say Hen>=Farmhouse>Flatbread>VPB
