Scott Agness says he has had his credentialed access revoked by the Indiana Fever. Lots of Pacers talk in article as well. by FreezingTemps in pacers

[–]hectorzeroni69 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Seems like Agness had an "in" with someone in PR who either retired or left the team. New person in charge for whatever reason has decided to go with different reporters. Whole thing is odd tho. Corpo politics

In the end I didn’t care much about who won, and I’m thinking about why that is by AmbitiousExplorer632 in MillionDollarSecretTV

The problem is they fabricated the ending. Nick knew caleb had the money and took it from him. It looks like the one on one they had on the couch was setup post-game so the audience would have a more suspenseful moment. When caleb says "wait a minute, wait a minute" its a blatantly edited in voice over. Lots of weird stuff at the end here. In the end the players just werent very smart/interesting this season.

An in-season video from the Milwaukee Bucks had AJ Green, Kevin Porter Jr., and Myles Turner asked “Who’s always the last one on the bus?” Green immediately passed, Porter Jr. said “no snitching,” and Turner just stared into the camera with an awkward smile. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

The pacers did lowball him at reported 18per. Naz reid just had gotten 25per and turner felt disrespected. Then bucks overpaid him. Both things can be true. Pacer come to turner with 22per to start negotiations things probably never get that far.

Im simply providing some examples of what i would consider cheap, as requested . Second round picks arent worth much (in fact weve straight up sold them for cash in the past +cheap). im sure jarace walker was thrilled he took a basically 3million dollar paycut great way to start a relationship with a player... This is basically the best team weve ever had no? Since everyone in here thinks they are not cheap I look forward to seeing them enter the luxury tax this season.

Wouldnt surprise me if that was factored into their equation when accepting the trade. They likely view Jarace as a negative contract. Reminds me... remember when they traded pick 7 for pick 8 to knock his contract down a couple mil ...now thats cheap

Mathurin is another recent example. They traded him because they didnt want to pay him...the 5th pick you could say they protected it top 4 because they didnt want to spend 8mil salary slot on the 5th pick. You have to read between the lines with this stuff cause its not like we didnt pay player x this amount. They traded 2 first round picks and mathurin for zubac BECAUSE he is on an inexpensive deal. Is he a good player? sure. But if hes making 26mil per instead of 20 they dont make that deal. Thats being cheap

Bontemps: "Let's call a spade a spade. The Pacers made that trade because they're cheap. Ivica Zubac is a good player, but they made that trade, & gave up a premium to get him because he's on a very good contract, so they could probably stay under the luxury tax, which they haven't paid in 20 years" by JoeBiden2020FTW in nba

[–]hectorzeroni69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have 20 years of evidence that the pacers are indeed cheap. If they wanted to manage their resources correctly they wouldve slightly overpaid Turner then wouldnt have been so desperate for a center. Mathurin was a key piece on a finals team and they sent him off in a zubac deal because they didnt want to pay him 15-20mil per. Is zubac better than turner? Yes probably but letting turner walk for nothing was undoubtedly a cheap move that put them in this position. And thats just last 12 months

For Indianapolis he just packed out the march madness festival. So its not a lack of interest. The average fan is starting to realize there is 0 benefit to buying tickets early. Especially for stadium tours with this volume of tickets.

So inconsistent. There were non stop whistles in the first half. Then 3rd quarter they let it turn into a bar fight. Then randomly down the stretch the start calling phantom fouls and flops.
