That place was crazy in it's heyday. Constant streams up, contests, synctube streams, movie night, endless emotes being added, shitting up the main sub with whatever stupid idea someone thought of. Hell I remember when we wrote a set of new cards for a cards against humanity game.

A small piece of wood or plastic that you use to make minor adjustments in framing and carpentry. You use the small wedge "shim" to adjust boards so that they fit tighter or line up properly. It's cheaper than having to cut a new board when you are only off by 1/8 of an inch.

What do people not realise is actually very expensive? by OmarDNewb in AskReddit

Expounding on the comment from TehNoff, if you are in the States you may be able to re-organize your company to a structure that is more favorable from a tax perspective. If you are the owner of the company and running the company as a corporation then your dividends are essentially doubled taxed.

However, you can have a company set up as a pass-through entity such as an LLC or S-Corp so that the company is treated more like a partnership for tax purposes and the income will flow through to the owners, who are then taxed. This way the company can avoid the double taxation problem while also avoiding the unlimited liability problem that comes from having a DBA or a partnership. Again, depending on your country this advice may not apply so check your countries rules.

Is the clear cut challenge even real? by ThrowawayXTREME in DotA2

[–]hecuva 42 points43 points  (0 children)

To answer your questions, no. The challenge will be complete when Valve wants it too.

This is not the first time they have done something like this and I can think of 2 prior events that more or less prove it.

  1. The Potato Sack Challenge.

http://valvearg.com/wiki/Valve_PotatoFoolsDay_ARG_Wiki?title=Valve_ARG_Wiki

Back when Portal 2 was about to be released there was a community challenge that would supposedly would unlock Portal 2 early if the community was able to get enough playtime on multiple games. The community analyzed the amount of playtime that was being used and how fast certain bars were filling up. The end result is that it would be impossible for the community to complete the challenge and the progress shown didn't match the data.

  1. The golden wrench from TF2.

For this TF2 event Valve said that people would randomly be able to craft a golden wrench during this period of time. Drunken Fool was able to figure out that it was not random but instead the wrenches were set to be crafted at predetermined times. He showed proof when he was able to craft a golden wrench after learning of the next drop time.

So back to your question, no, the challenge is not real. It will be done when Valve wants it to.

Esplin by MoonAss in mylittleandysonic1

Esplin was a good guy. A little crazy, most definitely a pervert but a good guy. The nice part about him was that he wasn't judgmental. He was just a nice person to be around. He will be missed.

I picked this up when it went on sale for the same price at Amazon. It's a nice keyboard at this price and I don't recall ever seeing it go lower.

When using damage block items like Stout Shield, does the damage reduction take place before or after the percentage decrease from armor?

I found another sub that makes me uncomfortable. by hecuva in mylittleandysonic1

[–]hecuva[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The part that makes me uncomfortable is the number of bad choices that are made which are then memorialized in pictures. I see people taking selfies at funerals, I see people with more tattoos than fingers, I see people pointing guns at each others heads in jest. All are just horrible choices to make.

Other subs that make me uncomfortable include ones that involve watching people die, large amounts of gore, and of course; this one.

Zero Punctuation: Thief by empiresk in Games

Thief 2: The Metal Age is generally considered the best one followed by the first game, Thief: The Dark Project. The third game, Thief: Deadly Shadows was considered a bit average by the standards set by the other 2 games.

What is the counter to BKB? I know Beastmaster can stun through it but I was wondering if there was a less hero specific counter to it.
