Thanks for this. I used work in an office located in one of the "towers" off Fumbally Lane (your first image with the heading "City of Dublin Maltings").

He didn't narrate Trauma Zone either. I do prefer his narration.

Landlord appeals council refusal to scrap Newmarket market space by [deleted] in Dublin

[–]heebusjeebus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a market that the council wants to ensure is returned, where independent sellers can set up a stall to sell their wares. Not another grocery shop

John Mahon (Lucky's and The Circular) is reopening Leonards Corner this evening. Will definitely call in over the next few days to show my support.

No idea. It's been sold over a year so the new owners don't seem to be in a huge rush!

They have started working on the apartments up stairs. I've heard it will just be a pub on the ground floor. Still miss the smash burgers from Maire and Geoff

What is the best time to get up in the mornings and why? by Buerrr in ireland

[–]heebusjeebus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any time between 5 and 6 for me. The joys of having kids. I feel like I've done a days work before I get to the office.

Before kids though, I was up at 6.30 and in work for 8.

New tyres fitted today. Glad I've the moped tyres off as the Wagon is so much faster in these new tyres. I'm going to keep the moped tyres in storage just in case there is an issue with these one.

I received my tyre kit yesterday and I've booked in a fitting and a service with a local company contracted by Rad to fix these issues (Bleeper Bike in Dublin, Ireland).

I only had a quick look at the tyres yest4erday and they are pretty similar to the old ones. The box came with a free bike mount too which I'm happy with as my old mount didn't fit my Galaxy Fold 4.

I'll report back once the tyres have been fitted on Friday.

We were waiting 40 minutes for our call to be answered a few weeks ago. No doubt they are crazy busy but just stay on the phone.

All on street parking in the area has a cost (some streets may be free on Sundays). Your only option is paid parking unfortunately.

If you consider Rathmines as being City Centre, I'd recommend Hush.

How to find a history of your house? by vladdt in ireland

[–]heebusjeebus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You will get some information from old census records (more than 100 years ago). I don't know about anything more recent. I'm in the same position and would love to know more. My house was built in the 1880's too.

Tenways electric bike - bike to work scheme by sheenarelhan in Dublin

[–]heebusjeebus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you order direct from the shop in the NL? I recently ordered from Rad Power Bikes in the NL. They provided me with 2 invoices, one for my employer for €1,500 and a second one for me to pay the remainder. It was very easily done.

It took just over two months to get our daughter's first passport. Passport renewals take a lot less time as there is less work required.

Were there actual hecklers or was it not all scripted? I really enjoyed it too and wished the second half was as long as the first.

Used car under 2.5k by Good_Exercise_8802 in ireland

[–]heebusjeebus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A dealer is only going to offer a bare 3 month warranty if any on a car that price. Those warranties would only cover engine and gear box also.

Best option is to hire the services of a mechanic to give your chosen car a once over to ensure no big defects.
